Every time this movie aired on tv I watched it and loved every minute of it! I searched looking for it on DVD but it's not yet available much to my dismay! Such a great movie deserves a great dvd release! The 5 stars are for the movie itself not the vhs issue.

Disc always stops at the same location about 20 minutes into play, I am able to navigate forward to get it playing again but that ruins the movie. Defect discovered months after purchase, I plan to buy another in HD DVD or DVD format.

I saw this film during a course for American Sign Language and procured a copy to study the signing. The actress playing the lead is quite skilled and I enjoyed her portrayal very much. The story was rather generic - but was fairly good. I felt that the film was well done (if rather an unpleasent tale) for most of the movie - but the ending was too quick, too simple. If you seek a good movie to study sign language this is an excellent choice. If you like movies with more finess regarding the topic of deafness I suggest you take a look at 'Beyond Silence'.

I remember this movie from the 80's. I found it here at Amazon. (wish it would've been on DVD instead of VHS tho). Anyway, When I got it in and watched it, it was just as funny now as it was back then; not to mention going down memory lane (or for movie people, "Flash-Backs") I hope they get it on DVD, I'd buy it as well.

This is a terrific screwball comedy that barrels along like a non-stop runaway train - which happens to be the setting throughout much of the movie. Michael O'Keefe inadvertently gets involved in a robbery when he himself is trying to escape from the feminine clutches of a roller derby team he owns; the money from the robbery is hidden in a coffin that's being transported across country by train. One complication leads to another, too many to describe here. But what makes the movie so much better than many of its type is that all the crazy parts (and there are many) fit perfectly together. There's some poking fun at Hollywood, Richard Nixon, small-town politics, etc., but it's not at all heavy-handed. It's a well done, well thought out and executed light comedy. Fear is a really well-acted thriller that for some reason is not on dvd. Not a run of the mill thriller either, with cool twists. For a movie this intense, it gets funny at times (Sheedy is funny getting people to believe she has ESP.)
