VHS : Moonwalker
I watched this movie when I was about 5 years old. and to this day it still remains one of my favorite movies of all time. I am a die hard Michael Jackson fan and anybody whom is in love with Micahel as much as I am needs to buy this movie. He is truely a great entertainer and a brilliant performer/actor. Very good story, GREAT MUSIC SEQUENCES, classic Michael Jackson at his greatest!I mean, what else could you ask for? He was the hero in this movie and is my hero in real life. Even with all the alligations surrounding him, you can't deny his emaculate influence to the music industry and the world. It has been a long time since I have seen this movie and I am so glad that I recieved the opportunity to buy a copy for myself. His legacy will continue no matter what....

VHS : Band of Brothers
Band Of Brothers is the finest made-for-tv program I have ever seen.

I have to give this a 4 star rating however due to the diffuculty getting the discs loose from the case. I have broken 1 disc holder and fear cracking a disc in the future.

VHS : Agatha Christie's Miss Marple Collection 2 (VHS Boxed Set)
On my TV set with my DVD player all of the discs looked and sounded fine.
I enjoy Helen Hayes for being Helen Hayes and Margaret Rutherford for being Margaret Rutherford but for Agatha Christies Miss Marple Jane Hickson wins hands down. I have tried only one of the latest British entry and she, too, appears quite able but Ms. Hickson has set the standard for authenticity (which, quite legitimately, was not the objective of Ms. Hayes or Ms. Rutherford).
To one who has never been to the UK, the settings seem quite fitting to the time and place, the stories well told, the acting first rate, and the manner appealing. The last has become quite important to me over the years; I mean by it the minimization of actual violence, the emphasis on character and story, not on split second action, and ... Read More

VHS : Wee Willie Winkie
Rudyard Kipling stories have always translated well to film and television, think The Jungle Book, The Man Who Would Be King, and Wee Willie Winkie is no exception. In India in 1897, young Priscilla Williams and her mother Joyce are traveling by train to a remote British outpost commanded by Priscilla's grandfather. Upon arriving, Priscilla finds out that her grandfather doesn't quite know how to interact with little girls so she decides her best option to get to know him is to become a soldier. With the help of the friendly Sgt. Donald McDuff, Priscilla tries to become a soldier, and with a new name at that, Private Wee Willie Winkie. There is something undescribable about this film that makes it so good. It hits all the right notes throughout. Seen through Wee Willie Winkie's eyes, everything is very ... Read More

I watched this movie when it was new and the leading characters were my parents age. I loved it then.

I love it now, though, suddenly, the characters are my age, which I found disconcerting, but I still love the movie.

As to the complaints about MS's singing, she is playing a normal woman, like most of us, and is not necessarily supposed to be a good singer. It is very realistic that she has an average voice. I loved the very first song she sang when she was newly widowed, something, like "who told you that you could leave"?

This is a movie I love to watch alone, with a cup of cocoa, and just enjoy.

VHS : Peanuts: It's an Adventure Charlie Brown
This is another thoroughly enjoyable collection of Peanuts vignettes (along the lines of the equally good "Charlie Brown Celebration"). Two of the best storylines involve Charlie Brown on the run:

First, he runs to camp, away from the urban stresses that have given his head a baseball-like appearance (via some sort of psychosomatic rash). The scenes at camp are hilarious: His face covered with a paper bag, he earns newfound respect from other campers who regard him as the enigmatic and sagacious "Mr. Sack."

Second, Charlie Brown is on the run from a plants' rights organization after he bites the kite eating tree. The box-inhabiting fugitive tries to begin a new life as the coach of a tiny tykes baseball team. His little players are cute toddlers, but barely ball players.

I hadn't seen this ... Read More

VHS : Taste for Killing
Michael Biehn upstages the good guys as a psychotic killer who befriends two rich boys for reasons other then friendship. Eventually, he is rooted out for who he is, but not before he piles on a body count at the boys' expense.

MB plays a wonderfully psychotic villian in this film, second only (and, at that, debatably) to Travolta's character in "Broken Arrow." He steals the show in an otherwise by-the-numbers movie.

VHS : D2 - The Mighty Ducks

It happens very seldom that a sequel doesn't flop and disappear in comparison to its predecessor.

D2, however is one of the few that hold strong with the original Mighty Ducks film. Most of the young stars return in this film, and those who do not are replaced by much more interesting team members, including a bash brother and a hog-tying cowboy.

Emilio Estevez returns as hockey coach Gordon Bombay who's returned to the Ducks after an injury in the minor leagues which has prevented a future in the NHL, although he is quickly back on his feet when he is asked to be the coach for the USA team in the Goodwill games. With the infusion of a few new players, some exciting new drills and a lot of hard work the ducks are back in action and ready to kick some Iceland butt!

A little more silly ... Read More

10.Space Jam starring: Michael Jordan, Billy West (II), Wayne Knight, Dee Bradley Baker, Theresa Randle

VHS : Space Jam
Space Jam as a movie has always held a special place in my heart. Being 12 years old as of this review, I have to say this movie has aged really well. Starring a real comic legend in Bill Murray and an acting great, Danny DeVito doing a voice over; this movie was destined to succeed. The real surprise for everyone was the performance of Michael Jordan. Although not exactly Sidney Poitier he did his job of being the face of this movie and when you make a movie with basketball as the main focus, you couldn't not have Michael Jordan.

The story goes that aliens from a theme park world named Moron Mountain, need a new attraction. Whilst throwing around ideas the evil boss, Mr. Swackhammer decides that he must get the Looney Tunes. He sends his cronies to Looney Tune land and get the Looney Tunes; whether they want to or not. The tunes ... Read More
