VHS : Giant (2pc) (Ws Aniv)
What is it all these people are praising? I saw nothing of the quality which they seem to see. Rock Hudson was ridiculous! James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor are too young to play their roles, no matter how much silver the make-up people spray into their hair. It was so long and boring. The blocking was clumsy and stilted. What else can I say? I could only get through one hour of this disaster. Academy Awards? Give me a break.

...the more they stay the same. A classic film that's a little raw in its telling, but is still a film with a lot to say. Broderick Crawford gives a great performance of a 'Hick' lawyer that pulls himself through the muck with good intentions, but soon finds out how much mud can stick to you and sling onto others. There are elements in this film that is still true and relevant to our political officials to this day. A man is born in sin and raised in corruption, after all. A good film that all movie lovers should see.

7.Echoes starring: Mercedes Mccambridge, Richard Alfieri, Nathalie Nell

VHS : A Farewell to Arms
A fine WW1 romantic drama of Hemingway's novel. Sincere performance from Rock Hudson as American officer in the crumbling Italian Army. Film a tad dated yet strangely p.c. and modern regarding Jennifer Jones' unwed mum-to-be. Worth watching.
