VHS : Phantom Tollbooth
This is probably one of the best animated movies ever. My 3 boy's who are now in there late teen's early 20's loved this movie when they were toddlers. We saw it on cartoon network in the late 80's early 90's and that was there favorite movie I taped it off the TV and they watched it sooo much the tape broke. They have not aired it since and I would really LOVE to be able to own this on DVD one day. If they ever decide to make this into DVD or Blu Ray this will be a definate big seller. Please Bring this Movie to DVD you will not regret it....Erin.S ( LAUREL MD)

VHS : Daffy Duck's Quackbusters
Street salesman Daffy Duck inherits a million dollars from the estate of J.B. Cubish, then sets up a ghost-busting service with pals Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig for the purposes of destroying Cubish's ghost. This is basically some new animation which frames several other older Warner Brothers shorts:

The Prize Pest 1951 - Porky wins Daffy as a prize, and he wants to put him outside in the coop. Daffy convinces Porky that he's a Jekyll and Hyde personality, and that he shouldn't be made angry. Daffy finds different ways to scare the heck out of Porky.

Water, Water Every Hare - 1952 - A mad scientist is after Bugs Bunny's brain. Bugs wakes up from his trance, and the scientist sends the big, orange monster to catch Bugs.

Hyde and Go Tweet 1960 - Tweety takes ... Read More

VHS : Neptune's Daughter
I have observed that one of the lesser known stars of the 1950's was a glamorous swimmer named Esther Williams. Her popularity had waned by the time I started going to the movies but I was reminded from time to time that she and Sonja Heiney (or whatever that ice-skating actress's name was) had a unique appeal for awhile. I noted that her movie, "Neptune's Daughter" won some minor Academy Award (probably for costume design) so I thought I'd see what all the fuss was about. Fortunately, the cast included Red Skelton because I'm not all that certain I would have enjoyed this movie without his humor. There was a scene that had me laughing out loud in a room by myself. It had to do with a Spanish instruction record coming to the end of side one. Overall, I thought the plot was stretched a little bit ... Read More

Right when I got this Roadrunner video in the mail, I knew that I was in for a looney treat! I was right. I watched it all the way through and the quality has never been better!!! I laughed at cartoons that I hadn't seen before and cartoons I have enjoyed over and over again. A must-have for any looney-tunes fan!

Includes:

"Gee Whiz-z-z"
An old classic that I have loved where Wil E. Coyote tries to catch Roadrunner with all new jokes that always backfire (and smash poor Wil E.)

"Zoom and Bored"
My all time favoite Roadrunner cartoon with all new gags!

"Fast and Furry-ous"
The very first cartoon ever made! (Be glad. It's restored this time!)

"Zip N' Snort"
The Roadrunner keeps the fun on track while at the controles ... Read More

VHS : Bugs & Daffy: Wartime Cartoons
Disney notwithstanding, in my humble opinion the greatest animated shorts came out of Warner Brothers in the late 30's to mid 1940's. This collection of 11 toons hosted by big toon head fan and movie critic, Leonard maltin, features Warner's unabashedly pro-american and ethno-centric cartoons of WWII. Rarely, If Ever, do these pop up on TV anymore due to their stereotypes of Japanese and Germans.

That said these are some hilarious cartoons, brought to you by the holy trinity of Warner Bros. directors Friz Freleng, Bob Clampett, and Chuck Jones. Here are the highlights of the 11 toons:

"Herr meets Hare" Hermann Goering heads to the Black Forest for rest and relaxation; because of a wrong turn in Albuquerque, so does Bugs, who encounters "Fatso" while trying to get to Las Vegas. Bugs taunts the Nazi, ... Read More
