VHS : Bond: Living Daylights
Fun movie to watch a lot of action silly at times, but I really enjoyed it, if you not a Bond fan, you will still like this movie, much better than the other Bond move that Dalton was in.

I like this series, and this is one of the better collections of episodes from it.

I too think this is a wonderfu, funny, offbeat and weird movie that should be available on DVD. A great, friendly satire on some obvious Jewish stereotyes, and some not so obvious, which viewers who are not Jewish might miss. I'm buying this movie for the third time now. I keep loaning it to rabbi's who tell me how much they enjoyed the movie, but never give it back.

VHS : Solitaire for 2
Mark Frankel does a superb turn as the charming Daniel Becker, a body language expert who is finds himself at a loss when Katie Burrill (Amanda Pays) knows his every thought (literally). Katie is tired of men and their thoughts - "Men's minds are sewers!" she says, but a persistant Daniel doesn't let up and insists they can work things out.

It hard to believe Mark is gone, but thank goodness his memory lives on in his films and television work.

I thought Solitaire for 2 was hilarious and funny, with two wonderful actors and a fantastic story.

A romantic comedy, Solitaire for 2 is a funny, adorable film and worth a video rental! END

VHS : Helen of Troy
This is the best telling of the story of the downfall of Troy that I have ever watched... including that blockbuster "Troy" which starred Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom. It may not be as visually stunning as that high-budget version, but it does an amazing job telling a lot more of the legend. It starts out with Paris's birth and continues all the way through to the end of the war (though, thankfully most of the war years are breazed over in a few minutes). :)

This is a great two part mini series. When it aired on TV a few years ago, I taped it on my VCR and I have since then worn it out watching it over and over again, so I am extatic that this DVD is available.

I highly recommend it!

6.James Bond 007 Collection Volume 3 starring: Sean Connery, Robert Shaw, Lotte Lenya, Timothy Dalton, Maryam d'Abo

Not a bad collection of Bond material, however, this is a mix of various Bond movies with a variety of leading Bond actors. I recommend looking into the 1996 Collections that have the videos in chronological order and primarily by actor. JAMES BOND 007 Collector's Set, Vol. 1 includes all six Broccoli-produced Sean Connery Bond films, to include a 1995 documentary video. JAMES BOND 007 Collector's Set, Vol 2 includes all seven Roger Moore films and Timothy Dalton's first film. Although these sets are out-of-print, they are still available as used and collector's sets through Amazon.com's Marketplace. If you're like most fans, you'd prefer to have the movies that include your own favorite "leading-Bond-man"!

This movie is pure nostalgia if you remember the first Karate Kid. The Cobra Kai are back in action. This movie also features BOLO as the hero and has a few WMAC camios.
The one thing I don't get is that BOLO is chinese, but his character "Shingo" has a japanese name. BOLO is well versed in Tai Chi, but his character is a substitute teacher at a karate school.
Despite the ignorance of the script, there is enough action to make up for these flaws.

Below average re-telling of the "alien lands on earth" cliche found in most American horrors of the 50's except this time its done terribly. The actors are all monotonous grade z-horror fodder, namely the woman who was in one of Lamberto Bava's early works, equally as bad as this. The story goes haywire when there is a midget clown attacking people with an absurd hand saw and the end doesn't really tell much about the intentions of the alien. Terrible film......

10.Nightlife starring: Ben Cross, Maryam d'Abo, Keith Szarabajka, Camille Saviola, Jesse Corti

This is a fun vampire flick. And I think pretty well done, if a bit campy - but that's part of the charm!

WHEN will it be released on DVD??? I want it for my collection and videotape is sooooo last century.
