VHS : Scared Stiff
"Scared Stiff" is a remake of a 1940s Bob Hope comedy called "The Ghost Breakers" which was directed by George Marshall, who also happened to direct this version as well.

I'm just going to jump right into the flaws of the film. First of all I'd just like to say Bob Hope, was one of my favorite comedians. Hope had a natural gift for comedy. His delivery for handling a one-liner has only only been matched by Groucho Marx. There was something about the sound of his voice, his breezy attitude, his facial expressions that made jokes that were really not that funny work. Only Bob Hope could tell a "Bob Hope joke". And in "Scared Stiff" the script follows "The Ghost Breakers" verbatim. Martin and Lewis shift positions on playing the Bob Hope character. Martin though is given most of ... Read More

VHS : Boca
I agree with one reviewer here who says that the characters of Boca himself, the brutal gangster, and his feral Brazilian mistress - they are the jewels in this film. One of the most memorably erotic movies I have ever seen. I wish, like another reviewer, that it would come out as a DVD. I'd snap it up in a second.

VHS : Waxworks 2
A cheesy sequel that is well worth the rental or paying of this film. Firstly, we find the characters where they were from the previous film and things then everything starts to go from bad to worse. Secondly, a common rich boy becomes a man of high class society in medival times. FInally, we find that our two main characters talk to each other over the space of time. Then in the end we find our hero's success and once again reunited through love and time.

VHS : The Krays - Bonded by Blood
The real crime is that this film is not available on DVD in the US. Peter Medak's brutally violent gangster film based on the lives of Ronald and Reggie Kray who were played brilliantly by the Kemp brothers who fronted the 80s pop band, Spandau Ballet. Guy Ritchie's films don't cut it when it comes to British gangster films trust me. This is the real deal.

This is an intelligent biopic of Britain's most infamous gangsters, the twins who made life safe for East Enders when they weren't running protection rackets or inflicting gangland punishments on rival mobsters. To be fair, writer Philip Ridley and director Peter Medak largely avoid glamorizing the violent world of Reggie and Ronnie, and are more interested in unraveling the complex personalities of the two brothers. They are helped by surprisingly ... Read More

VHS : Embrace of the Vampire (Unrated)
Embrace of the Vampire is a ultra-sexy thriller that stars Alyssa Milano and Martin Kemp. Despite its stupid performances, the film actually made complete sense, and was sexy non-stop. I recommend this film to any fan of erotica.

VHS : Clifford
When most people hear the name "Clifford" they think of the giant dog of that name. On the other hand, I think of the Martin Short movie; I recently replaced my old VHS copy with a DVD, so my family can enjoy it over and over. Short plays the title character - an obnoxious, ingeniously wicked, self-centered brat - who wreaks havoc in the lives of his parents, his unfortunate Uncle Martin, and anyone else who dares cross his path. Clifford has his mind and heart set on going to Dinosaur World, and woe be unto anyone who gets in his way. Clifford turns his Uncle's life into a nightmare, alienating him from his fiancee, getting him falsely accused of a bomb threat, and making him out to be a buffoon at a dinner party. Oh yes, Clifford learns his lesson the hard way when he pushes Uncle Martin too far. There are certain scenes ... Read More
