VHS : Other Side of the Mountain 2
I enjoyed Pt 2 far better than part one. The chemisty between Hasset and Bottoms was very obvious and worked really well in making you feel like you were watching them actually fall in love with one another. I am updating my video collection and can't find a DVD version of this movie for the life of me. Makes me very frustrated that so many "shoot them up" type movies with gratuitous violence are immediatey put in DVD format while a gentle love story with a solid message regarding disabled people mainstreaming into our society cannot be made available in the modern DVD format. The movie sends a great message to people (especially disabled phobs) and should be made into DVD format so kids, teens and young adults with DVD players can view and learn a few valuable lessons in tolerance, how love ... VHS : Messenger of Death
Be warned, this review may be biased. You see it was partly filmed in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, my home of twenty five years. In one scene Mr. Bronson's Garrett Smith, a Denver reporter solving a brutal family murder, is walking downtown speaking with the local sheriff when a large Chevy truck passes them. I'm happy to report that truck (mine) and its driver (my dad) are both alive and well. While Mr. Bronson is sadly not, fans of the square jawed tough will certainly enjoy this film. It may not be "Death Wish", or even "Mr. Myjestyk"; "Evil That Men Do" though, it is not.

The plot centers on a massacred family in the Colorado hills. The husband/father is the lone survivor and the head suspect. Everyone suspects foul play, but no one is Aticus Finch enough to confront it, ... Read More

VHS : Two Minute Warning
Although "Two-Minute Warning" is still an entertaining movie about a "situation" developing, when a madman prepares to shoot people in a stadium, the movie has some holes in it.

I won't spend too many words about its transfer on DVD, which is standard, but could have been taken better care of.

The holes I mentioned before, are mainly referred to the characters involved in this movie.

Except for some very general hints on who they all are, there is practically no "in-depth" character study whatsoever.
All the characters could have been taken form the street and assembled together at random.
We know nothing about them, except for the rather obvious.

The movie at one point, even goes so far, as to almost become a training documentary, or ... Read More
