I don't think there is enough space in this review window to do this movie justice! This is the movie that helped launch the careers of such celebrated comedians like Will Ferrell, Luke Wilson and Vince Vaughn! And man do they earn their honors with this movie! I think one of the things that makes this movie so widely loved is that it identifies with college students as well as people in their later 20s and 30s.

There are so much LOL moments in this that you'll barely have time to catch a breath. This is a worthy DVD buy because this movie has LOTS of rewatchability (is that even a real word????). You and your friends will get lots of mileage out of this one. And the nudity doesn't hurt either!

I know better than to watch movies about dogs, or animals in general. If it is a true story, or based on fact, the dog dies at the end. I cry enough over my own dogs. I don't need to subject myself to added pain. I never could stand to watch "Lassie" TV shows even though they had happy endings, just because the story line would stress me out too much.

I made the mistake of watching this movie not too long ago. It is a wonderful story based on fact. The first 45 minutes I would recommend to anyone for a pleasant, family movie. The ending I would not recommend to anyone who is especially sensitive, whether they be child or adult. I found the ending to be cruel compared to the rest of the story.

Yes, I know kids have been growing up for years and leaving childhood ... Read More

Sally Jackson (Drew Barrymore) reprises her classic role as the lovely young (pregnant) naïf next door. Jackson works in a burger joint, whose kindly manager lets her work the drive-through to conceal her delicate condition. Meanwhile, brothers Dorian and Angus Montier (Luke Wilson and Jake Bussey), local National Guard helicopter hotshots, have frightened a local man (with serious results) with their aerial antics. Problem is, Sally may have overheard the pilots on her headset. The boys need to find out what, if anything, she knows.

Just one look at the DVD cover will tell you that in spite of everything, romance is in the air (Ha! Ha!) between Drew and Luke's characters. The movie is likable and fun and generally means well. But the plot line requires a level of suspension of disbelief ... Read More

True...it is a well known fact that, those who know of Wes Anderson, know that he is an "either-or" film maker. Plainly stated, you either love his work, or hate it. It is also known that Mr. Anderson's view of comedy is VERY dry...almost sarcastic and very realistic. (I mean, lets face it, there aren't that many Will Ferrels in everyday life) AND his use of this "stellar cast" in the film is almost a satire. He has the chance to use each talented member of the cast to the fullest, but chooses not to...almost to see how "realistic" each person can be...and how convincing each is to there own characters role...

So, all of the above in consideration...(and strictly in my opinion) I believe this is one of the single most entertaining films I have ever seen. Further more...I will even go as far as ... Read More

This is really a funny and at times touching film. It's a bit overlong, but Bill Murray and the other actors are great. I really liked this movie. Definately not for those that don't like to think.

Just plain stupid and bad on every level. Do not waste your time with this film. I expected better from Mr. Lawrence.

Jack Black, Andy Dick and Co. do what they can in this pointless and goofy movie. As stoner films go this one just doesn't have many laughs or story for that matter. If you like stoner films, stick to the early Cheech & Chong films. Andy Dick made me laugh a few times, but that's about it. Black has a small role, but he makes his presence known as usual.

In a summer of films stacked up with sequels to long dormant franchises (e.g,,Terminator,Freddy) it's great to finally get a sequel to a film that was damn fine to begin with.Teaming up with the original film's director McG (who,to date, has yet to helm any film aside from these two),the original cast return also for a sequel which manages to be just as loud, colourful, sexy, fun and exciting as it's predecessor. Aside from a seemingly endless array of celebrity cameos, there are some exciting new additions to the credited cast list as well.To begin with,we have the growingly popular Bernie Mac replacing Bill Murray as Bosley. It's a pretty huge plot contrievance to explain how a black man has taken over a role originally played by a white man,but I'm sure Bill had his reasons for pulling out and Mac is well worth the replacement,as he provides ...
