This is my hands down favorite translation of the Cinderella fairytale I have ever seen put on film! I only wish they would put it on DVD. VHS is such and outdated format and it's hard to come by a good VCR that can properly play older tapes. And the cost of owning these hard to find gems is ridiculous. Why wouldn't a company want to turn a dollar on a classic movie? Leslie Caron is a delightful Cinderella and the "Fairy Godmother" is a hoot! The dance sequences are breathtaking and brilliantly executed. The film is a treasure!!

I have always enjoyed this film. What made the film for me were the characters & performance BOTHER OSCAR WINNERS FOR Shirley as Aurora & Jack as Garrett. Winger & Daniels characters I just hated. Why did she stay with him after the cheating? His cheating made it OK for her to cheat with John Lithgow's character? 2 wrongs do NOT make a right. The oldest son Tommy. It took till near the end with him walking out of the hospital with his grandmother till an adult stood up to him for his behavior. Parents NEVER did a thing about it. Danny De Vito & his small part. Joan Collins always claimed that Bette Davis was the inspiration for her character Alexis on "Dynasty." This is a fun film, especially on a rainy Sunday.

tom berenger brings great strenth to this role and this film about a little known sect of the morman faith, the danites,or avenging angels,as they were called. these men were recruited and trained as bodyguards for brigham young and as protecters of the mormans against the pursecuters of their faith. as miles utley,berenger is great and really draws you into the plot. iseems that to some mr. utley does his job to well and they want him banished,as this is going on he discovers a plot to kill brigham young(played flawlessly by screen great charlton heston)and sets out to stop it. along for the ride is james coburn as utley's friend and mentor! the whole thing is great western fun and action packed! so sit back and enjoy this fun and exciteing movie!

Relatively few people even know about this little gem of a movie. It's hard to go into talking about it without giving away the plot, but if you have trouble getting into the Christmas spirit or have forgotten what REAL Christmas spirit is supposed to be about, sit down and watch The Kudzu Christmas. The little smile it will leave on your face is what seeing love in action does. It's not just a kids movie, although my 7 year old niece talked about Mason, Gaitus and Radar for days after seeing it. Enjoy.

Having never seen this film before yesterday, I was shocked to learn that it had been nominated for an Oscar! It is one of the most unwatchable films ever to receive that distinction. Self-absorbed, bitchy, whiny, ungrateful, boring women sitting around kvetching about their lousy husbands, their indulgent affairs with teenagers, their loneliness. Good grief, shut up already. No wonder your marriages sucked. Had Jill Clayburgh's character spent a little more time paying attention to her family and a little less time boo-hooing about it to her loser friends, there would have been no need to make the film. Waaaah, waaah, waaah. Call a waaaaaaahbulance for her. And of course, it's filled with plenty of gratuitous shots of a topless, braless Clayburgh flitting around her apartment in her panties. ... The headline on the case looks like a sure fire winner: Tobe Hooper directing! Englund staring! Based on a Stephen King book! Well this movie just plain sucked. I remember reading the short story of the Mangler and thinking it was some of King's worst writing. Then I remember I have a weakness for really bad horror movies, so I picked this baby up. Aside from a few cool scenes of gore, this movie just drags on and on. Englund's acting is really not up to par on film; He seems wooden and not into the role. Also, films based on King novels are never that good, ive recently discovered. Read a book instead of watching this movie.
