VHS : Men in Black
Great movie for the whole family. If you haven't already seem this one then you might want to get it.
There is also Men in Black II that will keep the fun going. I hear that they are in the planning to do a third movie. I'll be there for this one too, only hope that it is as good as the first two.

VHS : Where the Money Is
Linda Fiorentino plays a prom queen who finds herself working in a nursing home--and something less than satisfied with her life. Paul Newman arrives at the home in shackles, temporarily released from prison because he was feigning a stroke. A notorious bank robber, Newman's character is shrouded in intrigue. Though he's a dangerous character, Fiorentino's character, Carol, starts spending a lot of time alone with him.

Carol is a sexy and smart woman. (This is the first of Fiorentino's movies I remember seeing. Sh'es incredibly attractive, and will have to look for her in other movies.) One of Carol's causes for displeasure is her husband, Wayne, played by infrequent star Dermot Mulroney.

The plot plays out out very well, though the beginning stumbles a bit. The acting ... Read More

The Last Seduction (John Dahl, 1994)

That John Dahl's made-for-cable flick The Last Seduction ever got a theatrical release-- after its cable debut-- is pretty remarkable. That it subsequently wound up on any list of the thousand-best films ever made is astonishing. That it ended up on four of the ten lists of this type of whose existence I am currently aware is the stuff of Hollywood legend.

It's about Bridget Gregory (Linda Fiorentino, recently of Liberty Stands Still), a nasty sort who first ruins her husband's life, then heads off into the sunset, landing by chance in the tiny town of Beston, New York. In Beston, she hopes to lay low until her divorce is final, but two things prevent that from happening. One is that her husband would like the $700,000 she stole from him ... Read More

I love this movie and my only issue is that the VCR version, subtitled when the characters spoke French - some very amusing asides are lost in the DVD version because the French is not subtitled. Otherwise, I can't recommend it enough.

VHS : Acting on Impulse
It was a Sunday afternoon, wine was in hand, the TV had been warmed with a second viewing of "After Dark, My Sweet", when it was decided to watch the made-for-TV movie (which didn't seem like it was really made for TV) "Acting on Impulse". There was the anticipation of falling asleep, laughing at the poorly developed budget, realizing that after watching these guys - anyone could be actors, or just the plain synthesizing music score that made the late 80s/early 90s possible, yet horribly embarrassing. There was an aura of negativity as this film opened, but to much surprise, this little film thankfully didn't take itself seriously. C. Thomas Howell (post- "Soul Man") didn't showboat us into believing this film will win awards, and neither does Linda Fiorentino, which, for once in film history, brings a level of brevity ... In spite of its packaging, this is not a porno flick! (If it were, it would leave alot to be desired.) Great film-making. I won't say any more, but if you want a sensual and very, very interesting movie, pick this. Great sound track too (wish it were on CD!).

9.Jade (Unrated Version) starring: David Caruso, Linda Fiorentino, Chazz Palminteri, Richard Crenna, Michael Biehn

VHS : Jade (Unrated Version)
Jade is a brilliant film. William Fredkin has a done wonderful job with this sexually charged thriller. The cinematography during the car chase is awe insprining and the sex scenes are kinky and tastefully done. Linda Forentiono and Angie Everhart who both have great bodies make the film even better. The reason I like this movie is because of David Caurso he displays some of his best acting on screen, very similiar to the NYPD Blue days.

10.Body Count starring: David Caruso, Linda Fiorentino, John Leguizamo, Ving Rhames, Donnie Wahlberg

One word. Three letters.
WOW!
This movie has it all. A great cast, an explosive story, and wonderful plot.
John Leguizamo is absolutely amazing. And David Caruso has never been better.
Now if it were only available on DVD.
