Enchanted April [Region 2] Thanks to the blog, I purchased my DVD from Joesclassicmovies.com. Otherwise I would still be waiting to Paramount or whomever to release it! My DVD works just fine and it was lovely to see the film again after it's initial release. Thank you all!

I have this DVD, which I obtained from the U.K., and recommend it to all viewers. If you can, try and get a copy of this film on either DVD, or VHS, it is well worth the time and money. This excellent BBC film, first aired in 1992. [In the USA]. The entire film is outstanding! Maurice Allington (Albert Finney) is a womanizing alcoholic, and the owner of the "Green Man Inn." When his father dies, he begins to see someone no one else can. Everyone shrugs it off as too much drink. However, there is something amiss at the Green Man Inn. Brittany Murphy is cute and a decent actress. Unfortunately, this movie stinks! It was marketed as a romantic comedy, and it sure wasn't. If it was anything, it was a drama. Once more, Holly Hunter played her true self -- rude, crude, and cynical. To 'top' it all off, not once did Holly wear a blouse or a tank that didn't bear her belly. Finally, to add insult to injury, the last 10 minutes of the film treats us to a sermon on how life can't be scripted. Anyone over 20 already knows this. Anyone under 20 shouldn't watch this clap-trap.
