VHS : The Deliberate Stranger
PLOT: Mark Harmon as Ted Bundy~ he nailed this performance~ excellent portait of Ted the man with charm and looks enough to fool JUST about everyone~ very good detailed.

Ted Bundy was charming and was headed to law school. He loved women and women loved him~ his charm, wit, very empathetic and most of all handsome looks made him stand out~ but his superior IQ all gave him the means to vent his Psychopathic personality and be very successful at serial killing. The actual number is still (some believe over 100 in 6 or more states)... BUT in "this" version about 20 girls over many years (1974-1978) were succesfully killed by TED~ why his own friends believe him innocent~ Ted has the charm to have girl friends and be fairly nice to them~ they fall in love with his charm and looks~ ... VHS : Ellen Foster
The Movie "Ellen Foster" followed the journey that a young abused girl takes to find a place to call home. Based on the book written by Kaye Gibbons, this horrifying but yet modern story makes the common day person thankful for their wonderful but not perfect life. With both famous screen stars such as Jena Malone and Amanda Peet and debuting cast such as Allison Jones, this movie is definetly one to put in a time capsul. Honorable mentions also include Kate Burton, Ted Levine, Julie Harris, Debra Monk, Glynnis O'Connor and director John Erman. With a star studded cast list and amazing author of the movie's base, this movie is set for life.

Ellen Hammond (Malone) was a young girl with adult-like maturity. Many children her age had never seen or felt what she had. When the movie opens, ... Read More

I really didn't think this was a nice adaption from the book. It was too short. But as far as the casting of the characters was concerned, that was very nice. I remember saying to myself while watching, "That is exactly what I thought Lucy should look like."

But then again, Saint Maybe is one of my very most favorite books, so of course I'm critical. It didn't really live up to my expectations

Dennis Christoper travels west to find himself after his brother dies just after cutting his first jazz/blues record. He ends up in a surf 60's world that might as well be the moon...as he is really out of place and feels lost and totally alone. Enter a over-the-hill bar owner who still carries a torch for his ex-wife,he takes the boy in over the protests of his daughter. This begins a relearning period of mistakes and absolute blunders until he finally gets the girl and looses the father figure to an unexpected heart attack without being able to say he was sorry for doubting his success in the Olympics. The film is twisted with good and bad surfers, poor little rich girls and pott heads along with beach vollyball at it's roots. I recommend seeing this film as it is funny and I left alot out because there ... Read More

This is a movie I did not fully appreciate until after it was over and I wanted to watch it again. The premise is, poor girl Alicia goes to a rich person's school where everyone except her is amoral, meaning in plain English they like sex and drugs. But wait a minute. Who is really into sex and drugs in this movie? Who is really envious of whom? Alicia, who is supposed to be the moral poor girl, ends up in hospital due to a drug overdose. Is Hadley, who is far wealthier than Alicia, really envious of her and not the other way around? Why do we feel such intense sympathy for the comatose Alicia? And why is some of the music, especially the music that plays at the end while the credits are running, so haunting?

This film plays with your mind as you watch it and does not get caught in the process. ... Read More

I thought the movie was very good and touching. Richard Dean Anderson did a wonderful job, as always. The only problem I found with the story was that it didn't get detailed enough. The character had a couple of major events happening in his life and they just skimmed over them. The movie ends and you never find out how the big events turned out. Good story, good acting, and worth watching, it just has a couple of holes.

I had the good fortune of being an extra in this movie, and I went to school with Bobbie Gentry's two sisters, knew her grandparents and have met Bobbie on more than one occasion. The song was fiction, as was the movie. It was not a true story as many people have said. It's a haunting movie, with good performances, especially Robby. I enjoyed working with him on this movie for over a week and watching him as a professional. I have always felt he was an underrated actor, and he has gone on to be quite successful as a director. When we made the movie, we never thought it would have such a long life, but it has. It lives on, and I think that is a testament to the good performances and Bobbie's wonderful song.
