This is my all time favorite Goldie movie and George Segal is charming too. But forget about them, the HORSE steals the show! This movie is a reason to laugh even if you haven't seen it in years.
Doesn't any one remember that in the 70's all the heroes were drunken losers?

I recently got this movie, at just over $5. I mean usually this movie is listed at prices that range from no less than $40 and all the way up as high as $70,$80 or maybe even $100, if you can believe that. I will tell you that the movie is nowhere worth that! The first stoty about the car is like a Twilight Zone episode mixed with a little Lifetime original movie feel to it. In other words it's not good! The second about the vampire thing is really odd, until the end, when it comes clear what's really going on. It's an ok story, I guess. The third about the little boy is pretty good. It has some really creepy moments in it. If not for the third story it would not be worth watching ever again. I give the first story a 1 out 5, the second a 2 out 5, and the third a 4.5 out of 5. As a whole the movie gets ... Read More

VHS : The Arrangement
"She's got a built in crap detector," quips an ad man of screwed up sex bomb Faye Dunaway in this whopper from Elia Kazan, the once esteemed director of On the Waterfront and A Streetcar Named Desire, foolishly filming his own tres autobiographique novel. No one perusing Dunaway's screen credits would claim Dunaway's got a "crap detector," or what would she be doing here? No one said it of Marlon Brando, either, but he knew enough to bolt this flick just before production began.

Kirk Douglas, everybody's favorite Brando substitute, tries to kill himself for selling the public cancer-causing cigarettes, and while he's recuperating, his wife Deborah Kerr puzzles over why he did it. "It's better than if he were off with some tramp," Kerr tells her shrink. "There are nights when I feel ready to go through ... Read More

VHS : Haunts
Ingrid (May Britt) lives on a farm with her uncle Carl (Cameron "The Demon" Mitchell), spending her days milking a goat and having disturbing flashbacks about her childhood traumas. Meanwhile, a scissor-wielding maniac is killing women around town. There are several suspects for the sheriff (Aldo Ray) to be wary of. There's Frankie, the young, smarmy playboy who chops meat at the butchershop. Then, there's the stranger who just arrived in town. And we also have uncle Carl to wonder about. Ingrid seems semi-normal, but she starts to unravel as the story progresses. Has she really been attacked by the madman? Twice?? What about her hallucinations about blood? Is she just cracking up? HAUNTS is an average little thriller / chiller with some above average asperations. The characters are genuine and even endearing, in a Mayberry ... Read More
