I was happy with my service from this retailer. Shipping was slow, but video was in great condition. This is a hard to find item, so I was impressed that it was in such good condition.

VHS : Rolling Vengeance
Rolling Vengeance is an age old tale that loses nothing in this re-telling. Like the Icelandic Saga that inspired it, it's a "boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-rolls-over-the-town-with-a-huge-monster-truck" story.
Well...Maybe *not* so much like an Icelandic Saga after all. You will, however, get to see Ned Beatty's nipples *without* hearing him squeal like a pig. What a treat! HUH?!?!
Having said that, it's still better than Liquid Sky. (Worst acting, worst sets, worst plot... I take that back. Liquid Sky had no plot.)

I recorded this one back in the early nineties from HBO and I still have it.

Naturally, by today's standards, it looks awful. But since I like the story and the acting in it, I am willing to forget about its flaws in picture quality.

Yet, as for so many other little "jewels and gems" out there, seemingly nobody has the time to find a pristine copy and slam it onto DVD...

Is it because in this case, it was produced by The Cannon Group, a production company long gone, who was managed by the Golan-Globus team?

OK, so the company does not exist anymore, but has anybody thought at buying the rights and make it their own?
Just as it has happened for really crappy movies in the past?

Perhaps crap is better than art.

I also ... Read More

VHS : Radioactive Dreams
This is a great film about 2 guys that grow up in a bomb shelter and venture out into the post nuclear war world to see what's out there. I really liked the way this movie captured my interest from the very start. It is true that a post nuclear setting is not new to fiction or the silver screen, but there's just something very intriguing about how this story unfolds. The characters graduate from the insides of a bomb shelter to a world much different from our own. Living underground didn't just protect them from radioactivity, it also sheltered them from the corruption and havoc of what was left of the world for them to inherit. Having only books and pre World War III media to learn from, these young men came to the table with a viewpoint much different from the world that they became a part of. ... Read More

If you like Civil War-era stories and whether or not you read the three books, I think you should enjoy this production. The characters, costumes, settings are all very true to the periods. It should be noted that if you are a Civil War (battles) buff, there aren't many here, it is a story of a family of the Old South and how they cope. I think the character portrayals are all great. One may think Leslie Anne is a little sappy, while at the same time the strength of the story, but it does work. I highly recommend.

Great movie which basically does for community theater what Spinal Tap did to rock and roll.

Not quite as well done as Best in Show or a Mighty Wind, but still a classic.

I've always enjoyed Woody Allen movies, especially with Mia Farrow. He represents New York and all it's eccentricities. The Radio Days c.d. is a little diversion in these difficult times.

... despite the mitigation of a Hollywood love story and a fictitious super-hero, but still not as painful as the TRUTH, the true and well-documented story of an ethnic cleansing in Florida in 1923, when, over several days, European-American mobs attacked the peaceful and prosperous African-American village of Rosewood, in Levy County. During the attack, survivors estimated, as many as eighteen African-Americans and two European-Americans were. Most of the buildings, including churches and a school, were burned. The community was abandoned and, in spite of permanent loss of land and homes, the citizens never returned. Women and children were rescued, as shown in this film, by the crew of the train that regularly stopped at the village. Given the three days of carnage, news of the events reached national newspaper ... Read More

One movie I never forgot.....1968 stars Hunky Christopher Jones as the leader of the youth movement to take over America.. I said "Right On!" (I was 15 when I saw it) My 16 year old now who saw it shakes his head and said "What were you thinking?" Finding irony at the end....we all get old (if we are lucky!)... Richard Pryor, Hal Holbrook and the recently deceased Shelly Winters also star in this classic representation of the 60's youth. Enjoy the trip back in time! Very interesting...A "Boomer's movie...Peace!
