Even though the office equipment used in this movie has gone out of style, the comedy still packs a punch! This special edition DVD also has some nice extras celebrating the most famous office comedy of the bunch. What a combo! Fonda, Tomlin, and Parton...who could have ever imagined that one (watch the DVD and you'll see how Fonda herself came up with the casting one enchanted evening). When this movie was made (1980), the office secretary had no respect. I had never heard of this movie before it was released on VHS. I have no idea why it is so hard to find. This is the only DVD release I have ever found that is playable in the US. Don't be afraid! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE MOVIE, WITHOUT ANY ALTERATIONS! IT IS PLAYABLE ON ANY STANDARD US DVD PLAYER! It is simply labled for sale in Korea. I adore Dustin Hoffman and count him as one of the greatest actors to ever grace the big screen, and even though his recent choices are less than impressive (what has happened to these acting giants; ala Robert De Niro and Al Pacino?) I am still enamored by just about everything he's done pre-2000. His comedic performance in `Tootsie' is certainly one of his grandest. Hoffman plays Michael Dorsey, a hard to get along with actor who cannot seem to find work because of his reputation. If you like the score and want to own it, go to the Intrada Records website. They released a very limited run, only 2500 copies, that is only sold directly from them. It is the entire score and not just a selection of pieces. The release is officially in cooperation with MGM, and not a bootleg. The sound quality is really quite fantastic and it is definitely worth the cost.

This is a good movie! When I saw the couple held hostage by the convicts I had the urge to change into a superheroine. Even Kim Possible can put those guys in handcuffs,and take them to jail.Rufus can,bite their nose,so can Ron,Kim's too much of a lady.

Chaney a nobody who's relative dies and leaves him an inheritance with a gifted horse......DON. The word gifted is that he can talk. When Fred finds out about this, not only is he amazed, he's amazed at how rich Don makes him when he finds out about what he knows about the stock market. Fred also finds out that in the inheritance that he owns half of the stocks and bonds in a company that his dead relative's widower wants so much of because he doesn't like Fred and doesn't want him to own it. A beautifully acted and written Movie about Mel M. and his family as they fight the Holocaust deniers. Many touching scenes as the Marmelsteins have to deal with the insesitivity of those who continue to persecute Jews. I would love to see this given a nice DVD treatment with some Interviews and perhaps some documentary about the current state of those who deny the Holocaust. Are these idiots still among us?
