Love this movie, have always loved it. The only way it could be better would be if it were released on DVD but that's not likely to happen. Luckily, I still have a VHS player for just such an occasion. Cult classic and one of my top five movies of all time, maybe even top three. I've been trying for years to find this film, hats off to the power of the internet. I've now been able to share it with my husband and kids and they all love it too, so there's a new generation of fans!

Leo Di Caprio went full retard in this one. But he did not win the Oscar. That goes to show: never go full retard.

VHS : Back to the Future
Have you ever wanted to travel through time? To see the future? To witness historic events? Marty McFy(Michael J. Fox) finds hinself facing this when his friend "Doc" Emmett L. Brown(Christopher Lloyd) builds a time machine. Marty is accidentally sent back to 1955 (from 1985) ( he's only 17, so he hasn't been born yet) and disrupts his parents'(Lea Thompson and Crispin Glover) first meeting. On top of that, he might be stuck in 1955 because there isn't much plutonium around yet, and that's what makes the car a time machine.

The actors do a great job of combining reality and science fiction to make my favorite movie.

Do not show to young children who do not know cussing is wrong, as charactars swear freely.

VHS : River's Edge
If it came out today, River's Edge would be dubbed an indie flick, which is what it was, only back in the `80's I'm sure it was called something like "low-budget" because no doubt it was that, too. Indie, low-budget, whatever label you want to stick on this film, it actually delivers a watchable, puzzlingly intriguing plot from a young cast that by and large found later fame. Centering around the days immediately following the reasonless slaying of a teenage girl by her teenaged boyfriend, a killing that took place along a river's edge, this movie feels intellectually alienating, even as it also embroils subconscious instincts and compels a viewer to question what her or his own conduct might be if caught up in the situation presented here. A friend has committed murder, in fact unrepentantly committed murder, ... Read More

I was an extra in this movie, so I cannot give a truly unbiased review of it, but it was loads of fun to participate in. Arthur Hiller was a wonderful guy, and so were all the actors. It was like a big vaguely organized circus....in other words, a great experience...Looking forward to seeing my school friends on DVD again.

VHS : Even Cowgirls Get the Blues
Uma Thurman is not a very good actress. She's tall, & reasonably attractive, & sometimes blonde, but she was the poster-girl for the Uber-hip set in the late 80's/early 90's so for that set, she was a perfect choice as Sissy Hankshaw. Having read & loved this book, I knew she was not a good choice, and she was subsequently was named Worst Actress of 1993 for her terrible attempt to portray Cissy. Likewise, Rain aka Rain- bow aka Rain Phoenix was also miscast, as well as not being talented enough to pull off the role of Boss Cowgirl Bonanza Jellybean. She seemed to be attempting to read off a Teleprompter, or maybe she should have been. Did I detect her lips moving before she attempted to deliver her lines? The reason she was not named Worst Actress of 1993 was that to win that award, she had to be an ... Read More

VHS : Like Mike
Bow Wow plays Calvin, Morris Chestnut is the hottie who plays the foster parent for Calvin, Brenda Song is the Chinese female who befriends Calvin at the home while Jesse Plemons is the geeky, introverted yet very grounded white boy with glasses who gives everyone the best insight the movie holds. They (the preteens) all seem to have this unbreakable, unshakable, special bond that no one can dismember or join.

Calvin runs into these shoes one day (They were Michael Jordan's while he was in the same foster care) and he begins to play better and jump so, so much higher. When the enemy finds out however, they try to assault Calvin and take his shoes.

How low does it go? Very. They try and lock Calvin away so he doesn't get adopted IN addition to taking his shoes away temporarily.

VHS : Back to the Future - The Complete Trilogy
Back to the future is my favorite movie of all time. From beginning to end it is so beautifully executed. Top notch directing, acting and editing with a score to rival "Star Wars". A sweet film the whole family can enjoy, they don't make'em like this anymore. The sequel's were fun too, but this puppy is lighting in a bottle!
