...and he was incredible as Andy Warhol. Creepy silences, slow movements, that voice. I really enjoyed watching him most of all. And I read on imdb.com that he wore some of Andy Warhol's real wigs! That must have been an awesome experience, to portray someone you admired in real life. Jeffrey Wright was impressive as Basquiat, and seeing Christopher Walken is always a treat. I didn't know much about Basquiat before watching this, but I appreciate his work more after catching this short glimpse of his world, dingy NYC in the 1980s, lifestyles of eccentric artists, drugs, music, etc. Definitely watch if you're a fan of Basquiat or any of the fine actors here.

If like me you are looking for this, then wait no longer. I have just imported mine from Germany for less than 15 Euros (and in 5 days). In Germany the title has changed and you should be looking for 'TOD in den AUGEN'. The original english sound track is on there. As for the film its alright, but it is starting to show its age, CF is great as always.

VHS : Antitrust
I remember when this movie was first released. It looked interesting and exciting to me and so I saw it in the theater, and I enjoyed it. It's not a great movie; the plot is farfetched and one dimensional and the acting is flawed, but the film is entertaining none-the-less. This is the definition of popcorn fluff; simple yet exciting and serviceable.

`Antitrust' tells the story of computer genius Milo Hoffman who plans to open an open-source site for the public with his friends, especially fellow genius Teddy Chin. His plans are turned upside down when Gary Winston, president of NURV, offers him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; to single-handedly help him launch his open-source program. Milo takes Gary up on his offer and soon has joined the NURV team and is working hard for the `enemy'. Soon, ... Read More

Gotta love a Super Hero movie that doesn't take itself seriously. This is the Hancock of Super Hero movies before there was even a Hancock.

VHS : Police Academy 7 - Mission to Moscow
The Police Academy series came crashing to a halt with the ill-fated and much belated Police Academy: Mission to Moscow. It's a film which leaves you asking Why? What? How? And why again? (a question that just can't be asked enough). Shot in Russia during the 1991 coup (rather than the 1993 constitutional crisis) but not released until three years later, and then in conditions of near-total secrecy, it took a pitiful $126,247 in the US, a staggering 1/670th of the first film's gross and about $126,246.97 more than it's worth. It's a film so astonishingly bad it almost staggers the imagination. The human vocabulary has still not evolved to a level that can truly articulate just how utterly wrong this film is.

Lazy, badly acted, hopelessly directed, plastered with inept musical Mickey Mousing and cartoon sound-effects ... Read More

VHS : Last Time I Committed Suicide
Ok, Jack Kerouac's writings may not be the easiest to follow, but this film is worse. What IS going on here? Beats me. The film-maker was more interested in stylization than story-telling. I gave up after about 30 mins, which is 25 more than a movie deserves if it gets off to a thud like this one.
