No matter what and how much time, love see's through it all. The actors in this movie make you feel what they feel. I saw the movie when i was a pre-teen, I loved it! I could totally identify with Lisa. My parent's wouldn't let me date, till I was out of the house...lol.

The movie rolled along at a natural pass, and the actors were believable.

I give the movie 5 stars.

VHS : Now & Forever
It is unknown if this was director Adrian Carr's first motion picture. But if it is, it is a good work from which to build a career upon. Now And Forever is based upon a 1974 novel written by Danielle Steel. The story is about a man who meets a woman other than his wife at an outside cafe. Being slightly drunk (departing from the book's premise that the male character was lonely and wanted to be in a woman's arms so desperately), Margaret Burton (portrayed by sizzlingly hot Christine Amor) offers Robert Coleby's character a ride back to her apartment to sober up. Once there, Margaret stalks her prey, and sweeps up Coleby's character in hot, passionate kissing. Eventually, Margaret Burton mounts him (no nudity is present in this scene), and engages in an brief, but intensely erotic sex scene on the ... Read More

VHS : Permanent Midnight
Based on the autobiography of Jerry Stahl who is playhed by a very subdued Ben Stiller(no humour here). The cast is rounded off by owen Wilson and Genine Gerafalo as well as Elizabeth Hurley. It is essentially a movie about a writer who goes from small town nobody to big stardom writing for Alf and other 1980s comedy shows, but his downfall comes through heroin addiction. This is mostly a chronicle of this downfall, his shakes and endless search for another hit. It is tragic but eventually the viewer stops caring, his life is not so interesting and it is not that compelling a story. It is mostly just depressing, wathcing Stahl be arrested while driving high with his child in the seat next to him.

Not that great a film, but a true breakthrough role for Stiller.

I am a fan of both versions of The Hasty Heart. After having viewed the 1983 version in my high school Theatre class, I was immediately compelled to find the older version just for pleasure. VHS : Jekyll & Hyde - (1990)
Michael Caine plays Dr. Jekyll, and he doesn't disappoint. He is a more mature doctor, which is closer in line to Stevenson's original.

Since John Barrymore's silent film, Hollywood has added the female element to the story. (The original story has no female "romance" at all. The only females are servants, passer-bys, a little child, and all the main characters are un-married men.)

Cheryl Ladd plays the sister of Dr. Jekyll's deceased wife. Her father is Dr. Lanyon, and because he blames Henry Jekyll for his daughter's death-although she died of pnuemonia, for which there was no cure at the time, there is an added element of dissention between them.

With an actress as attractive as Cheryl Ladd, there is of course a romance that develops between her and Michael Caine. But it does ... Read More

OK, so everyone hates Ted McGinley's character in this movie. But he did a great job with the role. McGinley plays Mitch Carson, a sick, perverted, creepy wierdo who lures teenage girls over the internet from their homes to his hideout where he holds them against their will and actually offers them for sale over the internet. The 16 year old girl in this movie is Martha, a lonely and troubled teen who is the latest to fall victim to Carson. Ted McGinley from first glance in this movie appears as a very normal guy. He dresses nicely, talks to Martha nicely when he picks her up from his buddy Drew, whom Martha was first lured to. "Hi Martha" McGinley sais, "I'm Mitch Carson, I'm just another computer geek who works for an organization which helps kids in trouble get back home and away from guys like Drew." "Can I call my mom?" ... Read More

VHS : Poison Ivy
In all honesty `Poison Ivy' is a terrible movie. The plot is predictable and campy, the script is poorly written and the mood of the film is manipulated and cheesy. That said; it is campy fun. `Wild Things' proved that camp can be done to perfection, and while this is no `Wild Things' it is certainly no `Showgirls'. What separates `Poison Ivy' from becoming the diluted mess that `Showgirls' was is the acting (although Gina Gershon was fantastic; seriously), which actually saves this film from being nothing more than a poorly conceived skin flick with `Lifetime' movie direction.

Ivy is a seductive teen who befriends Sylvie, an introverted girl whose mother is very sick and whose father is obviously suffering as much as his wife. Ivy moves in with this family and soon begins spinning her web and spreading her ... Read More
