VHS : Drop Dead Fred
I remember watching this movie with my little brother, or should I say, when my brother was little.

Overall, this is a fun and enjoyable movie. I love the chemistry and interaction between the characters of Phoebe Cates(Elizabeth) and Rik Mayall(Drop Dead Fred).

However, the really enjoyable part of the movie for me came when Elizabeth was able to travel to her past and free her little girl version. Thus she was able to transform a part of her that was stuck for a long time.

This movie is definately a little gem.

Well if you like little people and I tend to stay away from the words "dwarf" or "migit" because to me that's cruel. But, if you love or like little people this movie is for you. Rollo Sweet an aspiring dreamer that wants to go to Hollywood and be famous expect a telegram from the film company. While everyone in the boarding house was listening to the President of The United States giving a speech and by the way this took place around the 1930's so you'll see old timy cars in it, so there was no television invented yet so they had to listen to the President on the radio. When the aerial fell down, Rollo went out to fix it and when he lost his balance or got diverted, he fell to the ground in a dream. And in the dream everyone that was in his reality, is in the dream. You'll see cameos of ... Read More

VHS : Blues Brothers
When Jake and Elwood Blues are reunited after Jake's stint in Joliet, Jake finds that the beloved Bluesmobile has been replaced by a former City of Mount Prospect police car, and the Blues Brothers Band has been disbanded.

They visit "the penguin," the nun who runs the orphanage where they grew up, only to find that the orphanage will be shut down unless they come up with $5000 in back taxes. Since she vetoes any suggestion of ill-gotten gains, Jake comes up with a plan: put the band back together.

From then on it's non-stop action, laughs, and music, as they're "on a mission from God" to collect the former band members one by one, equip them, then try to get enough gigs to earn the money. Along the way, they also collect quite a trail of people out to get them: a mystery ... Read More

VHS : Star Wars Trilogy (Special Edition)
I have been a Star Wars fan for as long as I can remember. I have seen all three of these films so much I can quote along with the movie word for word. When I got this for christmas a couple years ago, I was ecstatic. However, when I found out they were the new special editions, I got slightly annoyed.
Don't get me wrong, I still love the new special edition films. The additions and changes don't detract from the enjoyment of the films. They just seem to be unnecessary. Why mess with something that has become such a staple of our society?
Like I said, the additions and changes are minor, but they are still unnecessary. Like the whole music video type song they added in Return of the Jedi. It is all in a made up language anyway so it didn't add anything to the storyline at all. And when ... Read More

VHS : Star Wars Trilogy
The original Star Wars trilogy will always stand in first place for my sci-fi loving heart, when it comes to classic, wonderfully told space adventure. The special effects were groundbreaking at the time, and today, are just as powerful, though we would do them differently now. The characters are multi-dimensional, and the story of good vs. evil is masterfully played out. For anyone who loves sci-fi, this needs to be at the top of the list.

Not to get into the whole "Clerks" which movie was better argument here, but I always liked "Return of The Jedi" better then "Empire Strikes Back". The reason I love "Jedi" is that within this film you get everything that you saw in the first two within one movie. The amazing opening act at Jabba's palace and the skiff battle. Luke becoming a Jedi master on Degobah. Then the amazing third act. Luke and Vader's final battle, the battle on Endor with Han, Leia, Chewie, and the Ewoks against the storm troopers. And of course in my opinion the greatest space battle of the Star Wars saga. I remember when I was a little kid, watching that space battle and how I was amazed by it. That was one of the first great movie experiences for me as a movie lover. "Return of the Jedi" is everything you could ever want in a Star ... Read More

Star Wars 4 Limited Edition includes the original theatrical release and the 2004 tweaked version. There are some fans who refuse to watch the 2004 edition. They prefer the original version where Han shoots first. Then there are people who prefer the 2004 release because it looks more realistic and updated. This DVD will please both fans.
The only reason this DVD does not get five stars is the lack of special features. There are no deleted scenes or inside looks. It just includes commentary.
If you already own the 2004 DVD, it is up to you if you want to spend 15 dollars on the original. You might want to wait for the Absolute Blu Ray Star Wars Episode 1-6 set becasue it will probably be made.
Note: For those of you with widescreen tvs, you will have to zoom in on the original disc ... Read More

VHS : Appointment With Death
This is not quite as polished as Evil Under the Sun and Death on the Nile, also with Peter Ustinov. It still has the same kind of star power because Lauren Bacall and Piper Laurie are both in this. The story is also still good and I did enjoy it. But I didn't like it as well as the other two I mentioned and I probably won't watch it again.
