I have three Susan Powter work out tapes that I really enjoy. I love her enthusiasum and high energy. She encourages everyone to modify and build thier own strength at their own pace. She reminds me to breath, suck my stomach in whether I feel it or not! I have fit back into my summer close by just firming up through her work outs. Two of my sisters also report they have lost inches by doing the Susan Powter workouts. Thank you Susan!!! Glad to see you have made a come back, and are looking GREAT as ever.

While the workout helps you break a sweat, you have to overcome some challenges with the instructor. The transitions are not smooth and as a seasoned stepper, I would have expected a higher caliber lead. As someone else mentioned, Kelli refers to some of the moves using non-standard terms. While different terms are acceptable, the instructions and demonstrations were a bit challenging to grasp simultaneously. I had to stop the workout several times to grasp the movement and count. At this point, I've got the routine down and I like the progressive intensity. I would not recommend this tape to a beginner. I recommend the Reebock Step Workout.

Some of the choices on Biographiy's list do not belong. Princess Diana doesn't belong at all. She is rated #73--higher than Stalin, Peter the Great and the Beatles! I almost turned the video off, expecting Muhammad Ali or Marilyn Monroe to pop up ahead of Magellan or FDR. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the top 40 choices. I feel the following people do not belong on this list: Patient Zero, Eleanor Roosevelt, Diana, Harriet Tubman, Margaret Sanger, Mary Wollstonecraft. These people obviously belong on the list: Goethe, Bismarck, Saladin, Cervantes, F.W. Hegal, Khomeini. Strong cases could also be made for Catherine the Great, Eleanor of Aquitaine, John D. I saw my first episode of Civilisation - The Hero as the Artist - in the auditorium of the National Museum of Art of Washington in December, 1969. I have been interested in Lord Kenneth Clark's series ever since. Now that it is available in DVD format, so much the better. I had never been taught the arts and history the way Lord Clark presented them. I have been "inspired." I appreciated Dr. Jacob Bronowski's series The Ascent of Man a few years later and have always felt that both the Clark and Bronowski series have been complimentary commentaries on the history in the arts and the sciences. Like most Blue's videos, there are consistent themes/lessons to learn...For a lot of children learning videos, at times, the lesson is hard pressed. Hence a child will get tired of it and the video will gather dust on the shelf. "Treasure Hunt" is my son's favorite because there are a sense of adventure and discovery which is hard to find in any learning video. My son has been watching this video consistently everyday(by his request) from the time he was 1.5 yrs old to the present(2.5 yrs old). A must buy video if your child is Blue's Clues fan.

For about six years I have used this video as part of a cardiovascular workout....I must say that it is entertaining and after learning the routine, I've actually used it (back in the day - "hahahahaha")to show some friends of mine what it is like. The best part is that it is thorough in that it works the entire body....I've gained flexibility and tonned areas of my body that I've always wanted to trim down. The funniest thing to me is that from the beginning Eric Nies has a hard time keeping up and staying focused; however, Akiba Tripp always reals him back into the fold. The term classic is apparently meaningless? I would appreciate it if you would define your categories, or at least prominantly display the date of the original issue of a work so that those of us who enjoy only vintage Disney animation could quickly eliminate those of no interest, especially those with tacky, boring computer animation.
