VHS : War Cat
This is one of the greatest B-movies of all time from the greatest B-movie director of all time, Ted V. Mikels. It is also
one of the greatest biker gang movies of all time. The action comes fast and furious and will leave you gasping for air. I would recommend this movie to any fan of the genre. Hats off once
again to Mr. Mikels. His movies are either simply great, or else so bad that they're great. This one is simply great. There are excellent gun battles and explosions and some of the hottest biker chicks to ever grace the silver screen. Especially sexy is the biker chick portrayed by actress Maria De La Rosa. Although she has a relatively small part in this movie, she is absolutely hot as hell, even better than her role as a jail inmate in the awesome B-movie "Ten Violent Women", ... Read More

I saw this movie a couple of times on HBO and was completely awed by it each time. The woman singing on the phone with a sax player and a jewish rabbi chiming in gave me goosebumps. I have been watching for the DVD to come out for years but it doesn't look like anyone is planning to release it.

I highly recommend this movie.

6.Dressed to Kill starring: Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce, Patricia Morison, Edmund Breon, Frederick Worlock
directed by: Roy William Neill
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Dressed to Kill
Prelude to Murder (DRESSED TO KILL) was unfortunately the last of about fourteen Sherlock Holmes films that starred Basil Rathbone as the famous private detective with Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson. The story concerns printing plates stolen from the Bank of England and a collection of three nondescript music boxes. What connection do these items have and will this caper cost the famous Holmes his life?

The restoration is very well done for a vintage 1946 film. One thing that did bother me was moving the timeline for the Holmes stories from Victorian England to the World War II era. Somehow it did not seem quite right. However, Basil Rathbone is a superb Sherlock although I think Nigel Bruce was more bungling than Dr. Watson should have been portrayed to my way of thinking.

Still all in all a fine ... Read More

VHS : Penitentiary
This film was really good. Writer and director Jamaa Fanaka was still a student at UCLA and Penitentiary was the first starring vehicle for former disc jockey and future evangelist Leon Isaac Kennedy. If you don't know the story it goes like this; Too Sweet (Leon Isaac Kennedy) is charged with murder, and convicted despite his innocence; he's shipped off to a run-down prison where Jesse Amos (Donovan Womack), one of the prisoners, lords it over the other inmates. Too Sweet ends up sharing a cell with Half Dead (Badja Djola), a violent lunatic who is one of Jesse's musclemen. Too Sweet refuses to buckle under to the intimidation dished out by Half Dead and his cronies, even after seeing how they've "turned out" Eugene (Thommy Pollard), another new fish who has become Jesse's sexual slave. Forced to defend himself even though he ... Read More

VHS : Stuck on You!
This is a really obscure 80's movie with a lot of naughty and cheesy 80's humor. The movie is funny and makes a lot of good, timeless points about relationships. It's about a couple Bill and Carol who are going to break up and they go to court and get a crazy judge. This judge is really a fallen angel trying to get his wings back and he can only do this by helping the couple get back together. He does this by telling them about other couples in history and the movie goes off into hilarious satire-type historical scenes of various famous lovers. I was a kid when I saw this, some friends and I snuck out of my room and watched it at night when my parents were asleep so I hope I don't sound like a hypocrite when I say DON'T LET YOUR KIDS WATCH THIS MOVIE! There is a lot of sex, foul language and very adult humor. Might be ok for older ... Read More
