My children thoroughly enjoyed this movie when it was first released in the local movie houses many years ago. Now their children are enjoying it on the tv screen in the home of Nana & Poppa. It is played over and over. A classic that is enjoyed by all generations. No one will be sorry if they purchase this item.

This is a great DVD with the extra scenes in it bringing the book more fully to life Don't get me wrong I adored the original but this is better. I think the music is fine and not at all distracting. Highly recommended.

This movie is entertaining from the aspect that there are soo many big named actors in the movie showcased early in their careers. The plot line is thin at best and the acting in parts are just as good. The only reason I rated this movie soo high, is I lived where it was filmed and was able to see all the actors shooting scenes throughout town. For me and my town it is a cult classic as we recognize each location and scene they are at. Overall, the movie is interesting to see once for the actors strictly.

VHS : Breaking the Rules

Whoa! This one threw me. First of all the notes on the back cover mention two of three best friends are not on speaking terms and the third one tries to get them back together. Then on the front cover, the caption reads "Three buddies on the road trip of their lives run into a once-in-a-lifetime woman".

The back cover's description is a very weak description that was somewhat misleading while the caption on the front cover was totally off!

This movie is about death! The one buddy is terminally ill, this is the "shocking secret" that brings the two angry friends together and they go on a roadtrip not only physically but emotionally and mentally as they bond together and come to terms with mortality. As for the once-in-a-lifetime woman, well she is a waitress ... Read More

It was good to see the 'boys' in action again. The 'twist' of Athos and Arimis not trusting d'Artagnan was good. Otherwise, most of it was boring. I loved the 3 and 4 Musketeers, the 3 being my favorite.

Renee Humphrey playing what has become a kind of standard role in semi exploitation teen movies: The sexy teenager runs away from home and is exploited by dubious types and becomes a (kind of) stripper. Ms. Humphrey was later to play the role of Didi in the delightful farce "Sex Monster" as the lesbian lover of Meryl Hemmingway.
Krista Erickson does a very nice job too as the hooker who can sing

VHS : Payback (1994, Unrated/Special Director's Cut, SP)
The other reviews of this movie are way too kind. There is very little "steam" in this movie. Not a bad plot, but let's be honest, that's not why we watch these direct to video / cinemax softcore movies. Joan Severance does look good as usual. However, the erotica scenes are few and far between and there is virtually nothing more revealing in the unrated version so don't spend your $ here. Joan looks at her best putting on shiny white thigh highs underneath a tight yellow dress, but nothing happens with her and this luscious outfit. A complete waste. This is bound to disappoint so don't be misled by the other reviews.
