VHS : Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection)
The joys and lessons of Christmases past are revisited in three enchanting, lesson-filled tales featuring Disney's favorite cartoon characters - in the first story, Donald's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie remember the time they wished Christmas was every day and it came true! As they relive Christmas day over and over again, the fun soon turns monotonous and boring, and along the way, the boys learn the true meaning of Christmas.

In the second story, Goofy and his son Max confront the 'myth' of Santa Claus - Goofy is a true believer and Max turns out to be skeptic after next door neighbor Pete tells him Santa isn't real. It takes a lot of effort and some magic before Max comes around:)

In the last story, Mickey and Minnie play down-on-their luck sweethearts whose purse ... Read More

VHS : Aladdin and the King of Thieves (Disney Presents)
The big day has finally arrived. The entire kingdom has turned out for Aladdin (Scott Weinger) and Jasmine's (Linda Larkin) wedding. Thanks to the Genie (Robin Williams), it looks to be a spectacular day.

But then tragedy strikes. The 40 Thieves attack the wedding and try to steal just one present. Yes, that's right. But that present turns out to be an oracle that will answer one question. And through that oracle, Aladdin learns that his father is still alive.

What he doesn't realize is that his father, Cassim (John Rhys-Davies), is the leader of the thieves. The family reunion pits Aladdin against Sa'luk (Jerry Orbach) who isn't happy with the way that Cassim has been running the gang. How will Jasmine react to the identity of Aladdin's father? Can Aladdin reform ... Read More

Never received this movie from the seller. Had to wait a month to see if I ever did get it. Now I'm in the process of waiting two more weeks to get my money back. The seller refused to contact me after I requested she do so. Amazon told me to wait longer. Not happy with either the seller or Amazon since it was Amazon that named this seller for me to purchase the movie from.

VHS : Alice in Wonderland (Broadway Theatre Archive)
The play is based on two books by Lewis Carroll "Alice's Adventures Underground" and "Through the Looking-glass." There have been several presentations, each with it own strength or weakness. This is a 1993 TV presentation of which you can see that lots of time and energy went in to it,

We go through the story at light speed only to slow down for a few badly placed songs. This presentation should be an embarrassment to everyone involved. However if you did not know any better a log of Lewis Carroll's humor and way with words comes through. There is a little television trickery that actually helps the presentation.

You would think with such a great cast that it could not fail:
Kate Burton as Alice (at 26 years old)
Austin Pendleton as White Rabbit
Richard Burton as White Knight ... Read More

VHS : Timon & Pumbaa: Don't Get Mad
This is a really cool video. I think the raccoon, Thief (pronounced Thyfe), is really cool too.In the first segment, misfortune came to Timon and Pumbaa. The items from their luggage were stolen and they had to report the bad news to the police. But until the police found Thief, they refused to look for him or the supplies. Somehow Timon and Pumbaa did something to the planet to get the items back to their luggage. And once again, the police arrested Thief. In the second segment, Timon and Pumbaa made somewhat related new bestest best friends (but not for long at all) named Monti and Bampuu (I learned to spell these names when I watched this video with closed captions). Later on, they disliked them.In the final segment, Rafiki decided Timon and Pumbaa are separate all because the chunk of big bluish black thing fell ... Read More

VHS : Timon & Pumbaa: Live & Learn
This video is good for anyone who wants to obey the law, not pretend to be someone else, or learn to be specific about their wishes. In segment #1, when Timon touched the "Forbidden Stick," the police ran after him and faster than you can say Mulan, Timon hid under a tree stump so the police couldn't track him down. When Pumbaa spoke to the police about Timon, they could tell Timon was really in the stump. When they found out, Timon nervously pleaded innocent and they took him to a somewhat strict rhinoceros disguised as a Judge, who liked to make up new laws. This "Judge" subjected Timon to a series of harming tests, like "The Snake Pit of Virtue" and "The Really Warm Coals of Truth." The last test was the written test. The first question was "Who was the thirty-seventh pres. of the USA," and Timon answered "Arnold ... Read More
