VHS : Runaway Ralph
Ralph is back! John Clark Matthews is amazing. This movie was hilarious! I remember some funny lines. Ralph: I thought I gave you a ride. I did, didn't I? [later] Uncle Lester: Ralph you're grounded!

Ralph: But I did wat you said. Uncle Lester: Did what I said, but I didn't say to do that!

Fred Savage was cool for Garfield, and Conchata Ferrel was funny for Aunt Jill. Kellie Martin who played Karen was amazing, and Sara Gilbert and Summer Phoenix who were Stephanie and Vanessa were great. Walker Edmiston was sssssssssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooo good and scary for Catso. I've seen Walker in other movies, but not Edan Gross who was the artful Merton. Oh, yeah, another funny line. Ralph: That Catso cat needs a lesson, that I'm going to teach him! ... Read More

The Good Things
*Good action and special effects. Love the nebula battle scene.
*Good filming style. Generally more colorful and upbeat.
*Pretty good storyline.
*Good characters.
*Good writing. Contains some comedy and a nice love story. Also some interesting content concerning immortality and having two species of the same genetic root fighting each other.
*One or two interesting themes about youth.
*Pretty good music.

The Bad Things
*Nothing particuarly special; the movie feels more like a two-hour long episode.

The Questionable Things
*This film is called "Insurrection," but it's not that big of an insurrection. I expected the Enterprise to oppose the entire Federation or something, but it's more like a ... Read More

directed by: Stephen F. Verona
1986
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Pipe Dreams
In her acting debut, singer Gladys Knight plays Maria (hey, that's Glady's real middle name), a devoted wife who travels to Alaska to reconcile with her estranged husband (Barry Hankerson, Glady's then-real life husband) who works on the Alaskan pipeline for a crooked boss who has a prostitution ring on the side. Will Maria get her man back and bring down that mean old boss as the average songs performed by Gladys and the Pips chirp in the background? Will the beautiful cold Alaskan scenery offer any romantic spark? And why didn't the Lifetime movie channel exist back then?

Gladys and Barry have a playful chemistry, while the evil boss comes off as someone who wears a black cape and cackles alot (and wouldn't you know it? That evil boss is caucasian. Right on blaxploitation fans!). ... Read More

VHS : Woman Who Willed a Miracle
I remember watching this special CBS report on this amazing mother
and son. The news crew went to their home and made an amazing documentary
of this Mother and Son.
Cloris Leachman is one fine actor and this movie won 4 Emmy Awards
so that does say something, now no one has to beleive myself or any
other review given, and I will say this if you do not view this
movie your missing what a Mothers Love is and the Spirit of Love
and devotion to bring her son out from another world, Truly Amazing.
Yes the movie is extremely rare because it was a Made for Television
video and they are rare.

VHS : Martians Go Home
Judging by the cover, Martians Go Home should be about as pathetic a comedy as Joe Dirt. Yet surprisingly, though flawed, it works quite well. It's actually based on an interesting premise - what if alien invaders weren't savage or warlike, but just irritating to the point of distraction?

Although the martians themselves are quite deplorable (just picture an annoying and unfunny comedy troupe who don't realise that they should just quit) the human characters are really quite engaging. Randy Quaid is perfect as the beleageured hero, a man who is driven up the wall by the martians from the very start. His reactions, especially his facial expressions, are hilarious, especially when irritated. This particularly comes out in his interactions with the burglar character and when the martian voyeurs interrupt ... Read More

VHS : Enough
Great movie. I used it in my Family and Consumer Sciences class to discuss domestic violence and the violence cycle. Students were interested because it was modern and it contained segments that could be used as clear examples of the cycle.
