VHS : Kate and Leopold (Bonus Edition)
I must say, this is a fabulous romantic comedy. It's flirty and fun, while still maintaining a level of class. Despite have a time-loopy premise to it, the primary focus is on chivalry and the timelessness of 'classic romance'. Another great quality of the film is that it is CLEAN. This is something that can be shared with younger viewers without having to experience the awkwardness of watching a sexual scene with an 11 year old. Hugh Jackman's performance is just fantastic. He truly brought his character to life and into this modern world. Meg Ryan did a wonderful job as well. Overall a spectacular film, and one I would highly recommend!!!

VHS : Presumed Innocent
The beginning of 90's was full of court dramas and murder thrillers. This is a very good combination of both, which means it will attract the fans of both genres. A very good movie with a surprise ending. One of the best movies of both Harrison Ford and the legendary Alan J. Pakula. Deputy Prosecutor Rusty Sabich (Ford) is assigned to investigate the murder of a woman he had an affair with. All evidences are against him. Framed Sabich is desperate to reveal the real killer...so are the viewers! But believe me the ending will surpass all your expectations and anticipations. Charming Scacchi and the beautifully shot love scenes add so much to the film. Do not hurry to presume...

VHS : Adventures in Babysitting
This is my all-time favorite 80's comedy. Watching it today, it is no less enjoyable than it was upon initial release. If a film stands the test of time, that is when you know it has become a classic in its own right. The performances by everyone are all around charming and delightful. The writing is clever, witty and fun. Adventures in Babysitting will engross you from the very opening when Elisabeth Shue dances her way thru "Then He Kissed Me," by the Crystals until the closing credits roll by the same number. This is definitely the kind of film to watch if you are feeling down and out. It is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and more! Enjoy it again and again! Also recommended for fans of this film: Teen Witch.

I loved the movie. It is very inspiring, regardless of the critiques about it noy being "realistic". Since when are movies realistic?

Anyway, the part I miss in the disc version and feel a bit dissapointed is the one at the near end of the movie where Pacino tells the Puerto Rican cleaning lady at the hotel that Puerto Rican soldiers are the best in the world. I just wonder if anyone else has noticed this cut and why would that happen.

I'm sometimes taken aback when conservative commentators (like Laura Ingraham) pose rhetorical questions like: Why doesn't Hollywood make as many anti-Communist films as it does anti-Nazi ones? She literally asked why if there was a Schindler's list, why there no STALIN'S LIST. Now, while it may be true that many Hollywood denizens are politically a bit left of center, is it really the case that, unbeknownst to us in the unsuspecting public, they've been glorifying Communist ideals and furthering its cause almost two decades after the fall of the Soviet Union?

I suppose if you were to cite RED CORNER as a film which takes on the last remaining Communist superpower, Ms Ingraham and her fellow rightwing pundits would respond that a. it's a rare exception; b. the only reason, these liberal filmmakers ... Read More
