I was overwhelmed by this production of Hamlet. Kenneth Branagh is wonderful and plays the part of Hamlet with such sensitivity and vitality - makes the unabridged lines accessible, even to people unused to Shakespeare. Kate Winslet is excellent. The whole cast and the scenes - especially the scenes - are staggeringly good. The only Hamlet on film, worth watching! Kenneth Branagh is a genius.

I know that "Analyze This" was marketed as a comedy but is a movie that makes fun of a man being thrown out of a seven story window really that funny? Robert DeNiro spoofs his gangster image (four letter words and all) as Paul Vitti the gangster who turns psychiatrist Ben Sobol's (Billy Crystal)life upside down when he turns up for therapy sessions. Director Ramis seems to have had trouble in drawing the line between a comedy spoof and a straight gangster drama. I mean there are brutal murders taking place all over this movie. The situation where Crystal walks into a gangster summit meeting unopposed is hard to believe. These are supposed to be the smartest criminal minds in the U.S. not dumb gangsters. I bought this product years ago in the late 1990's for my son. His school's librarian celebrated Dr. Seuss Day, so I gave my VHS tape to her so the kids could enjoy it. Recently, I was thinking about it and purposed to find it again to buy. I was so pleased to find it on DVD, even though I would have bought a VHS to play it on. I simply love this DVD! I am forty-five years old, but true Seuss fans understand that his work appeals to kids of every age. I grew up on Dr. Seuss!!

this is a very good movie. it has love, caring, warmth, it is a movie i have watched at least 10 times. it's about a young woman with a deformed face that thinks,she has a man whom she think loves her,but instead kills her father, she goes to prison for him.she has her revenge for him,and finds her true love once again.i recommend this ever woman, who had loved once and have lost that once true love.

This dark comedy verges on farce at times, which actually works for it. It's a sort of send up of Hitchcock movies and the like -- particularly "Strangers on a Train" which is featured in the movie in a crucial role. And there are plenty of madcap antics and character moments. Crystal's Larry Donner is constantly both funny and depressed and DeVito's Owen Lift is endearingly simplistic and desperate for approval.
