VHS : I Come in Peace
Essentially, "I Come In Peace" (aka "Dark Angel") is a great idea that was only moderately well exectued. With the exception of appearing in a religious drama, this is probably the strangest vehicle for action hero Dolph Lundgren to get himself over, and to some degree, the Swedish Superman makes it work, but even along with the passing performances of the rest of the cast and a pretty original bad guy, "Peace" ends up being forgettable due to its uninspired pacing and overall lack of action.

Jack Caine (Lundgren) is a vice cop who's earned himself notoriety for doing things his way, much to the dislike of the department. After being assigned a by-the-book partner whom he frequently finds himself at odds with (Brian Benben, "Radioland Murders"), Caine's personal war on Houston's ... Read More

This is a very inventive, technically brilliant cartoon. It has a lot of incredibly funny scenes and a great many superb comic in jokes.

For the time this was made, the special effects are stunning. This is a great piece of entertainment.

This movie took me 10 years to find. I sawit as a teenager and loved it. This story makes you feel happy, sad and full of hope that if you haven't found love you will. No matter what and how much time, love see's through it all. The actors in this movie make you feel what they feel. You understand what both are going through and how much love they have for one another. It's a tear-jerker for sure!

This film has every Marxist cliche that you can shake a stick at. Hollywood, which has given us countless propaganda movies eulogizing Communist totalitarianism, does it again with this movie. The basic premise is that totalitarianism in that country is good because things were bad before. Which is like saying that because you have mobsters in New York or Las Vegas, we should impose a dictatorship, starve the people, indoctrinate them, militarize them, have total censorship and kill anyone who objects. In short, a liberal's dream come true.

I was terribly disappointed when I started watching this movie and realized it wasn't the one with Rick Schroder that was made in the 80's. I felt misguided since you listed his name in the credits.

This version isn't "that" bad, although I found it too slow, only if you hadn't seen that other one before; otherwise, spare yourselves and don't even try it!

I was lucky enough to catch this movie on Encore instead of paying
massive amounts of money since it is out of print. I loved reading
Harlequin novels and romance novels in general so I always want to
watch the film adaptations.

Anyhow, I'm 28 years old so naturally I'm accustomed to watching more
modern and fast paced movies. However, I already knew what to expect
since this was a 1987 movie.

Let me say that despite it being all, I enjoyed the movie and I'm glad
I woke up 6am in the morning just to catch it. It had a medium pace,
not as fast but not slow either. The acting I thought was good, the
relationship and chemistry believable as well as the scenery. Of
course, I always love the happy endings, hahaha.

Now as I was watching it at ... Read More

I recently became a big fan of Ewan McGregor. While I was looking through all the movies he's been in and reading the reviews, I was unsure whether to buy this. Not having any knowledge of the stock market, I didn't know if I'd like it.
Not only did I wind up loving this movie, it made me very interested in how the stock market works. Ewan McGregor's performance was amazing. I wasn't bored for even a minute. There were no drawn out parts at all...making this movie only 90 minutes was a plus. It was fast paced and exciting. Anyone who likes gambling, even a little bit, could relate to this movie. I was unexpectedly surprised how good this movie was. If you're not a fan of Ewan McGregor....you'll probably become one. I've watched this movie twice already within a few days so I'd definitely recommend buying it.
