collectible queen removed my money for this purchase over a month ago, but never sent my movie. I sent her an email the day after the last possible arrival date, and never got a reply. When I contacted amazon, I was told I had to wait even longer to file a claim. The email even implied that I was somehow at fault because I didn't look at her reviews. When I did, I saw that she has done this to several other people. I don't understand why amazon continues to allow her to rip off their customers. I will probably never order from amazon again.

Ship Ahoy, is a must-see for musical fans. The plot is not very strong, but the performances by the actors are great! Red Skelton plays a hypochondriac author who meets Eleanor Powell while on a cruise. She's a dancing star with Tommy Dorsey and his orchestra and when she gets sent on a mission, she thinks she is working for the government. "The Night They Raided Minsky's" is what I would call a qualified success. It offers some insight into burlesque circa 1925 New York. The dialogue, delivered in rat-a-tat fashion, is hit or miss but gets the bullseye most of the time. What distinguishes the film is the direction of William Friedkin who fluorished in the Seventies only to peter out somewhere around "Cruising". Here, Friedkin is surehanded delivering a film of both style and substance. This is a crisply edited film that delivers eyedropping visuals with it's stunning art direction and costume design. The cast is littered with pros but the film's rapid-fire pacing doesn't really allow anybody to shine though I did like a young Elliott Gould as the show promoter and Denholm Elliott as a legion-of-decency type.
