I've seen this movie at least a half dozen times and love it every time. I never read the book, so I can't make a comparison but in the movie, I love the evolvution of the character of Willie throughout the story.

Besides being a heartwarming animal flick, it is a wonderful story about community.

I enjoyed Pt 2 far better than part one. The chemisty between Hasset and Bottoms was very obvious and worked really well in making you feel like you were watching them actually fall in love with one another. I am updating my video collection and can't find a DVD version of this movie for the life of me. Makes me very frustrated that so many "shoot them up" type movies with gratuitous violence are immediatey put in DVD format while a gentle love story with a solid message regarding disabled people mainstreaming into our society cannot be made available in the modern DVD format. The movie sends a great message to people (especially disabled phobs) and should be made into DVD format so kids, teens and young adults with DVD players can view and learn a few valuable lessons in tolerance, how love ... I bought this as a gift for my nieces (ages 2 and 4 at the time) and they both loved it. Of course, they have a facination with princess stories but my sister thought it was entertaining as well. Jim Henson was very good (in the early days of the muppets) of taking a story and giving it a fun twist.

I did not like this movie at all. A twenty three year old man consorting with high school girls....where are the parents....Also in a previous comment either on this site or another it was pointed out that Richard Thomas did a frontal nude scene-I wish to correct that mistake. Thomas does NOT do a nude in this vehicle-he doesn't even take off his shirt. Robert Lyons does the nude scene and personally I think he should have left his clothes on. For me this movie was a big disappointment, something I rarely say of a Richard Thomas movie.

This TVM written and directed by Rob Fresco features some plot complications that raise it above the conventional kidnapping thriller. The petty criminals that Tracey Gold associates with are used to support her kidnap plot, are abandoned when she reveals her own agenda, but reintroduced later, and the unity of the parents of the child is also threatened by Gold's identity. Therefore we get a climax with 4 different antagonists, and divided interest between the kidnapped child and the ransom money. Fresco's teleplay provides one laugh line spoken by the mother -"They appear to be getting along ok", referring to Gold and the child, "I don't know if that makes me feel better or worse". Fresco displays the rich colors of autumn in Oregon, provides a funny horizontal split image of two people looking for ... Read More

I don't think it's worth a herculean effort to track down, but this rather hard-to-find slasher film from 1984 isn't bad at all. It does feature a couple of relatively creative kills, even though there's not a lot of blood and gore on display here (and rumor has it that the important few seconds of one particular scene were cut from the DVD release). Don't get too excited about the fact that the murders take place in a sorority house, though, because the murders takes place over fall break, so you only have a handful of coeds on hand - and they certainly aren't throwing any slumber parties. Interestingly, though, Silent Madness was apparently shot and originally released in 3-D, which explains why some scenes feature deadly implements being hurled directly at the camera - it's just a shame that there's really ...
