Let me say this first and foremost, my boyfriend told me about this movie while walking to the library one day. At first, I told him I didn't want to see it, but he insisted that I should give it a try and afterwards tell him how I felt about it. So, I said O.K. and borrowed it for the weekend. And there I was, sitting in the living room with my boyfriend, watching the Princess Bride. Robin Wright plays the serious, deadpan Princess Buttercup, Cary Elwes plays the poor, lame, non-acting farmer/pirate character, Westley, Chris Sarandon plays the very cruel and very pathetic prince Humperdink, and Billy Crystal plays the lovable Miracle Max. Was 10 years old when this event took place. Still remember everyone in the neighborhood talking about it the next day, despite the fact that none of us watched the closed circuit venue (all that was available then). Couldn't wait for this tape to show up in the mail. Roddy Pipers' bag pipe entrance really reminded me how exciting this form of entertainment was as a kid. I try to get into WWF (now WWE) today, but it's just not the same. If you grew up in the '80s, this is a must have. I got the VHS just to get it on the cheap. If it's available on DVD and you've got the few bucks to spend, I'd recommend that.

WrestleMaina IV featured a one night tournament to crown a new world champion. Here are the results and my thoughts of the matches 20-Man Battle Royal: A decent match but nothing to exciting. I did like the ending though. Round One "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan VS Ted DiBiase: Love DiBiase, he was a great wrestler. The match was decent but short. The ending was stupid, as is many on this event. This S. Series was full of first. The matches WERE NOT edited on the tape, Hogan wasn't in the main event, and they stared using team names to make it come off as a real team concept. As usual, all the matches were given enough time to actually be something worth watching. The only complain I have is that for both main events, they did the same type of elimination in which they took out the strongest "heel" within the first minute under shady circumstances. Dream Team vs. Enforcers: American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Tito Santana, & The Red Rooster vs. Big Bossman, Bad News Brown, The Honky Tonk Man & Rick "The Model" Martel - There were no real highlights in this match although it was just solid from beginning to end & a good opener.
