Pokemon The Movie 2000 is the second theatrical film for the Pokemon franchise. Before the film, there is a short titled, "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure." Here's the thing about Yu-gi-oh, and in general other anime too. It's not just for the very young, but also for the young at heart. For me, there's a poignant simplicity about "kid's stuff" which can be meaningful to anyone. Sure, these episodes are a marketing tactic for the cards, but you can control yourself so you don't end up spending more money than you have to. Yugi is out to save his grandfather's soul by dueling a notorious bad guy in a card game. The idea is ages old, going back to old folk tales where the hero challenges the devil and puts up his soul as betting material. This is part 8/10. I think that Destiny Deoxys is one of the best Pokemon movies. The movie really stuck with me and I loved the idea of the battle between Deoxys and Rayquaza. It was great. I loved the technologically advanced city and the battle tower was great. I loved Plusle, Minun, and Munchlax. I also like the little boy's story about overcoming his fears. Prepare for a great watch.

This release of the film includes the 20 minute short, "Pikachu and Pichu," that aired before the beginning of the film when it was screened in theatres; the short is also includes the introduction of the Pichu Brothers. However, you cannot choose to watch the short by itself; you have to select "Play" on the main menu in order to view it. There ended up being six special features included on this DVD release. The first is a documentary called, "Making of 'To Know the Unknown'." It's about the girl group Innosense recording the song for the ending credits of the film. This is episodes 7 8 and 9. In episode 7 the legendary bird Dynamo Blade from the video game comes to Capi Town to lay here egg. They evil king Dedde us kirby's appite to get him in trouble. Kirby heats up the egg and hatch the baby Dyanmo blade. Think kirby has eatten here baby the Adult Dyanmo blade goes one a warpath leveling Capi town. Has to use all his skill to survive. In episode 8 historic artifacts are found supposingly claiming king Deede as the true founder of Capi Town with the help of his evil minion Escargo. In episode 9 we discover the origon on the the two dot charaters who are best friend. This dvd has some mild violence it should be fine if your 7 or older.
