VHS : Cowboys
One of my favorite John Wayne movies (with the Shootist, I must like him vulnerable lol.) His and the boys' growth together in knowledge & caring is the important story. Some objected to the ending, but "finishing the job" is important and the actions were no more violent than the times. The addition of Rosco Lee Brown was delightful and added a great deal to the film, more growth for the boys & even a bit for the main character. A proud and self-respecting, cultured Black man, in those days, is a treat to see in a movie. Bruce Dern was a tad over the top in being thoroughly vile, he's sooo good at that rofl.
The music is swell too.
