Okay, the other reviewers are right, this is a B movie that has some funny parts that were actually meant to be scary. But trust me, if you like "B" thrillers, this one's pretty good. The guy who plays Johnny is spot on, and the little girl is a pretty good actress as well. The plot's interesting but it dies down a little at the end. Oh well, I rented this a lot when I was younger and always enjoyed it. I bought it used off Amazon a while back, and my husband just didn't get why I loved it. Oh well, to each their own.

This is one of my favorite movies from the '80s. Kristy is great, Michael is great. The soundtrack with ABBA and OXO really liven up the scenes. Why in the world is this not on DVD?? Really doesn't make sense when there is plenty of junk being put on DVD every day instead.

VHS : How Sweet It Is
I love this movie, as most of Debbie Reynolds high energy comedies, this one is no disappointment. It's the story of middle aged revival..at a time when many women (and men) direly feel and equally dread the loss of their strength, vitality and sexuality, this hysterical farce pulls all those elements together while reinforcing the strength of a quality marital love without sacrificing good parenting in the process.

Debbie Reynolds is feminine dynamite as she wows the French with her sizzling middle age figure and reminds her hubby that good things, do, indeed come in small packages! James Garner perfectly addresses the sterotypical oblivious middle aged husband who cannot see his wife through the trees...that is, until all is unveiled before a more appreciative audience. Charming comedy, great ... Read More

This wonderful little thriller from over ten years ago was largely overlooked when it was first released, although I did manage to catch a look at it when it hit theatres. Then, as now, I was very impressed with its rather terrifying story about a young and ambitious hospital janitor (played wonderfully by Paul McGann) unhappy with his lot in life and seizing upon the opportunity of a lifetime of becoming what he really wants to be - a doctor, but with frighteningly tragic results. The film is tightly directed, scripted and acted by a first rate British cast which includes the always wonderful Tom Wilkinson and the 'delicious' Amanda Donohoe - probably more famous for her rather risque role in the TV series LA Law from some years back. If you're in the mood for a menacing, un-nerving thriller without the traditional ... Read More

This publication of the "Fire in the Stone" movie, is a shortened version of it's original Australian release. Therefore the original depth and reality of the story has been lost to a great extent in this version of the movie!

Christine (Special Edition)
During post-war, pre-inflation 1957, the Detroit assebly lines were the bread and butter of the American economy. It was a time of cheap Gas, plentiful steel, and an insatiable hunger for the dream-machines that were cranked out by the Big Three, FORD-GENERAL MOTORS-CHRYSLER. John Carpenter, opens the film in are-created Plymouth plant in Detroit, late 1957, where a singular red and white Fury rolls down the line amid the roar of machinery and the whine of air-tools. Finned, fitted, sleek and shiny, another new '58 is ready to cruise. The foreman is glad to see this one go. It has been trouble all the way down the line, killed a line worker - somehow even the air feels cold as the car goes by. Some cars are just - born bad. Arnie Cunningham (Keith Gordon) is the school - jerk. There's ... Read More

As a longtime fan of the author, I suppose I'm harshly critical of film adaptations of his works. That being said, this movie still stands out in my mind as one of the worst, most generic horror movies ever made, regardless of how badly they butcher the original story. My review is broken down into two parts: the views of a Lovecraft fan, and a more general view.

The original story for "The Unnamable" is only 20 pages long or so, involves two characters, and only takes place in one scene. Hardly the stuff movies are made of. The original story deals with the notion of a creature so hideous and evil, that it cannot even be named...yet the maker of this film dared to physically portray him. Can't name him, but you can put a guy in a hairy rubber suit and call him "unnamable"! Lovecraft was a respected horror ... Read More

Of all the 80's actors etc, don johnson would have to be one of the best, he has a great voice, he's has a better voice than david hasselhoff, and it makes me wonder why he's making it and don isn't, don johnson should've stuck to music, as his voice is like golden.
I remember watching "Heartbeat" years ago, it was great, it was a different way of doing it, but overall it's great. janet jackson did something like this to "Rhythm Nation".My Favourite song would have to be "Can't Take Your Memory" that song hangs with me and would have to be don's finest work overall.
