This is the first time that I've ordered from a vendor on Amazon that did not meet my explectations. The tape was jumpy and I could not adjust the tracking enough to watch

I was lucky to find these movies for cheap, but it's definitely one of the best trilogies I have ever seen. The 2nd and 3rd are no match for the first...but the sequels are hardly ever as good as the first in any case.

3.Disappearance of Kevin Johnson starring: Pierce Brosnan, James Coburn, Dudley Moore, Alexander Folk, Bridget Baiss

VHS : Disappearance of Kevin Johnson
Interesting technique - a mystery wrapped in a documentary-style presentation. So real-sounding that you want to know more and find yourself becoming more engrossed as details are progressively revealed. The climax plays Hollywood at their own game. Perhaps a little tame at the end but full marks for innovation!
I've seen it long time ago and I had to see it again. Only the VHS was available on the market in the DVD WORLD :).
I digitized and will be in my good movie collection.
Must see for filmmakers.

It's not a perfect film. Now that thats out of the way, everything else about Bloodifst IV is. The fights are very realistic. The characters are convincing. The story is exceptional with twists, surprises, and a plot that keeps you guessing. For a B movie, and especially a Don Wilson movie, this is top notch.

Bloodfist IV has not a single highlight moment that stands out in the film. Instead, every scene keeps you equally engaged form beginning to end. I was captured by the story before the action in this one. This is one of those movies where the time seems to fly by while watching it, it was that good. Don't go into this movie thinking Hollywood blockbuster, or it will suck. But from the viewpoint of a typical martial arts film, this is a highlight.

VHS : Dilemma
Danny Trejo has many credits under his belt. Many must love him, including myself. Still, he is in big trouble if this mess of a movie is what happens when he's a main character. Maybe like Paul Lynde, he really has to be to the sides and not at the front of the line.

Let me mention just one scene that illustrates the silliness of this film. Trejo's character takes a female intern hostage as he flees a hospital. You hear all this female screaming and pleading, but the actress' mouth never moves while she is being hauled away. Trejo is walking slowly with an unwilling hostage yet the police are unable to catch up with him. Trejo has been in prison for years, yet he can shoot effectively with a hostage in one hand and the police get hit with his bullets left and right and do fake "I'm shot!" ... Read More

This was a good movie with a great plot. Clearly Chevy Chase at his best.
I would also like to say that this may very well be the funniest Chevy Chase movie since "Fletch".

VHS : Dreamgirls
I finally watched "Dreamgirls" last weekend. Mostly I wanted to see it because it had won an Oscar, or should I say Jennifer Hudson won the Oscar for Supporting Actress. What a performance! To think she came from American Idol(and not the winner) and is such an amazing performer and actress. The movie seemed like the perfect vehicle for her rev up her movie career.
"Dreamgirls" reminded me a bit of the story of The Supremes. It is the 50's when it starts. Three back up singers for Eddie Murphy's Jimmy "Thunder" Early, dance and sing their way up to the front of the stage. Eventually they have their own girl group, The Dreams. Curtis Taylor, Jr. played by Jamie Foxx, is the manager of the group.
Beyonce Knowles plays the main singer, Deena Jones, who gets all the attention that I felt Effie White, Jennifer Hudson's character, ... Read More
