This is a great Barney VHS. I got it when I was three years old from Santa. It talked about the differences between day and night. Now it's thrown out! Everyone got sick of it! See if Good Day, Good Night works with your child and write it here on Amazon.com!

There were fair criticisms of this Mystery installment on PBS. All came from author Hillerman's fans, as Skinwalkers is one of his finest books in the series, full of atmosphere and Navaho tradition. Produced by Robert Redford on a PBS budget, this mystery featuring Navaho Tribal Police Officer Joe Leaphorn and the younger Jim Chee, struggling to find a balance between ancient tradition and modern ways, is actually very good if you can separate it from all the expectations from readers.

Redford's son James changed the story slightly and incorporated elements from other novels in the series. Vistas of the American Southwest and the way of life on the reservation lend atmosphere as Leaphorn (Wes Studi) and Chee (Adam Beach) look into a murder that initially points to a Skinwalker; ... If everything in your life is going well, you'll likely regard this story as somewhat frustrating. For once could you NOT be drunk, Barlow?? But if you have unfulfilled dreams and are struggling without sympathy or support, and face it, most of us have been there at one time or another, then you'll find this one of the most compelling, engaging stories ever. The character of Leon Barlow (Arliss Howard) is both complex and perplexing. You'll want to watch this more than once. And get the sound track too -- awesome music!

VHS : The Incredible Melting Man
Contains some spoilers. The Incredible Melting Man is an older film that offers viewers a look at the struggle of a man sent to outerspace, but returns infected with a strange disease. He melts! You can see the dripping start in the hospital, where he attacks a nurse and saps their lifeforce to keep himself alive. Spoiler: One scene shows someone's head floating down a stream, and is quite a comical moment in the film. Other than that however, the film is slow paced and rather dull, but mostly due to the lack of really knowing what this man is thinking, other than witnessing his occassional rage and ultimate demise.

Another facinating Corman flick features basically a combination of Jackie Chan and hardcore action violence. It also features my favorite actor of all that had ever starred in these type of Corman movie, Rick Dean ("Carnosaur 2 & 3").
