VHS : Pinocchio's Christmas
I've always loved the immortal story of Pinocchio and of course treasure the classic animated Disney film released in 1940 that continues to enchant viewers of each new generation. It has been an absolute joy this last Christmas gone then to finally see this delightful Rankin and Bass "animagic", which originally premiered on television back in 1980 but strangely doesn't seem to be as well remembered as the other much loved specials that Rankin and Bass produced such as "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", and "Frosty the Snowman". "Pinocchio's Christmas", offers a different slant on the famous character of Pinocchio this time placing him in a Christmas setting and the charming little story combined with the excellent animagic stop motion work makes for a truly beautiful little Christmas special ... VHS : Rolling Vengeance
Rolling Vengeance is an age old tale that loses nothing in this re-telling. Like the Icelandic Saga that inspired it, it's a "boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-rolls-over-the-town-with-a-huge-monster-truck" story.
Well...Maybe *not* so much like an Icelandic Saga after all. You will, however, get to see Ned Beatty's nipples *without* hearing him squeal like a pig. What a treat! HUH?!?!
Having said that, it's still better than Liquid Sky. (Worst acting, worst sets, worst plot... I take that back. Liquid Sky had no plot.)

VHS : Just Tell Me What You Want
I first saw this movie in the early 80's became an instant Alan King fan and purchased it immediately. The movie was hilarious. It is about a tycoon (Max) with a alcoholic wife (Connie), mistress (Bones) and a protective secretary (Stella) and how Max's agressive, manipulative and vindictive personality affects all. Anyone who watches this movie will never forget the hilarious scene where Bones (McGraw) attacks Max (King) at Bergdorf's.

You could classify this movie as the comedic version of Wall Street. Gordon Gecko - "Greed is good"
Max Hershel - "You don't get poor by taking."

It was wonderful to see Myrna Loy as Stella the protective and sensible secretary. Also who could forget Ali McGraw as Bones the intelligent and ambitious mistress caught up in Max's (Alan ... Read More

VHS : The Very Funny World of Alan King
Alan King was one of the best comedians ever. Clean jokes with a purpose. He tells about the stupidy of society in a classic Alan King style. That's comedy. He is a very creative and knowedgeable person. I highly recommend this movie. It's only on VHS. I truly miss him.
