VHS : Miller's Crossing
I had seen Fargo, and was prepped to have a good time with Miller's Crossing. I knew it was meant to be a takeoff on film noir, so I didn't expect great art. Just some fun.

Nope. Even with the stellar acting power of Gabriel Byrne and Albert Finney, this souffle falls flat. There is no -- as in NO -- plot to follow. All you see are guys dressed up like 30's mobsters, trying to talk tough and clever. But their lines aren't actually tough, and they certainly aren't clever.

Halfway in, I commented to my wife, "It's kind of hard to follow," to which she said, It's impossible. Nothing's happening." We popped the DVD out at that point, and put in another movie. Maybe if I'd stuck it through to the end, some little thing would have actually happened. But that's not ... Read More

3.Madame Sin starring: Bette Davis, Robert Wagner, Denholm Elliott, Gordon Jackson, Dudley Sutton

VHS : Madame Sin
Bette Davis is made-up & costumed to be a very eccentric mastermind who's involved in science fiction type of spy & high dollar theft tactics. Robert Wagner is the spy Davis & her futuristic team of scientific experts program to steal a major military weapon so that Madame Sin can resell it to US enemies.

The on-screen chemistry between Davis, the elder & Wagner, the younger is titilating. Davis does more than flirt with her real life friend, Wagner (who's the age of her real son. Mind you, both were adults). To see Bette Davis' turqouise eyes in color on screen is rare since most of her films were made in B&W. To watch Davis act in a science fiction film, as an eccentric, powerful, evil-doing woman is way out of the film genres she is so legendary for popularizing.

5.Ticket (1997) starring: Shannen Doherty, James Marshall, Phillip Van Dyke, Heidi Swedberg, Al Mancini
directed by: Stuart Cooper

VHS : Ticket (1997)
This, in my opinion, is NOT one of Shannen's best films, but is definately a must-see. It has a lot of sspense and drama that keeps you at the edge of your seat. In a way, it's kind of like a "I Know What You Did Last Summer" movie. But in a way, the movie plots kind of repeat themselves

6.Mission Manila starring: Larry Wilcox, Robin Eisenman, Sam Hennings, Al Mancini, Tetchie Agbayani
directed by: Peter M. Mackenzie
February 21, 1990
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Mission Manila
This is possibly one of the worst movies ever made, and hence deserves cult-status. A stunningly self-conscious performance by Neil French is just one of the reasons to watch it. There is, however, a quite charming dog in one or two scenes.

7.Far Out Man starring: Rae Allen (II), Paul Bartel, Patrick Campbell (III), Alina Cenal, Gary Cervantes
directed by: Tommy Chong
August 29, 1990

I purchased this DVD for 1 or 2 scenes....
These two scenes are worth the price to pay for the DVD.
As for 90% of the movie......"No Thanks"
