With the short throw & small size I bought this to get nails that are in spaces too tight to reach with a sawsall. With the battery recommendation to NOT keep it on the charger (you'll ruin it!), and that it will achieve full battery power after several uses, it sounds like this is a NiMH battery, not the usual NiCad or Lit folks are used to for a power tool. NiMH needs "special care" which ARE in the instrucions (yes! they are!) to get it started working well & long term. But they are weird if you aren't used to them. I charged 9 hrs before using. Then cut 2x4s to see how strong the cutting power is (no problem when held solid to wood) & when the battery would get noticeably weaker. The Fein Multimaster sanding/scraping/cutting tool is one of the most flexible tools out there. I got my first one in the 80's, it was heavily used in my boat repairing business and still lasted 20+ years. I now have another one doing my jobs. The company doesn't rest on a good thing, they have kept improving an already outstanding product. We couldn't have easily done many of our jobs without it.

Nice idea, but right from the first day, even with fresh batteries, I'd go out at night to test it with my hand, and it would not trigger, regardless of the sensitivity. During the day it worked just fine. I'm near Los Angeles, so the weather is not an issue. I bought it months ago, and only opened it this week, so I can't return it. Make sure you test yours right away.

Great pruners - the rotating handle mechanism virtually eliminates sore hands and the dreaded "pinch" when a branch suddenly breaks and the fleshy part of your thumb or palm gets caught. After some heavy pruning this season, these finally gave out after years of service. Absolutely no complaints considering the abuse they took. I'm buying two pairs and dumping my others into the recycle bin for good. Once you've tried these, you won't accept the other junk that's out there, no matter how expensive and what brand name they may have.

You have to ensure you have the right size. So far, it does NOT fit around anything I have. I purchased it to help me get the washer thing off the kitchen sink neck thingy...but it is too small.

the product itself works decently for the 10 minutes that it lasts. the result can be neater but it does cut the grass- most of it anyway. However, even with my small yard, it took me exactly 2 weeeks to complete. A reviewer wondered why the manufacturer gave no indication of the length of time it takes to fully charge the battery. there's a reason for that dear reviewer, they are afraid no one will buy the product if u knew it takes about 18 hours for maximum charge, after which, u only get ten minutes of power. This is not a precision instrument. Use it for rough estimates only. It is good for what all of the other 9 reviewers used it for, however, it can be off as much as a half inch. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my unit, other than I get varying measurements. If the measurements were at least consistent, then it wouldn't matter what the numbers were, but I measured the same wall 6 times and got 6 different results. Like I said, if you are just hanging shelves or pictures and want them evenly spaced, or even if you want to find the center of the ceiling, this unit will work as long as you don't mind that it will be a little off. If you are making the shelves yourself, use a tape measurer.
