In August we did an 8 day 50 mile backpacking hike in the NM mountains. I took my Leatherman P4 and Leatherman S4. They were both very handy and became the most used tools on the trip. I would highly recommend this to anyone who normally carries a pocketknife or someone who is looking for a lightweight tool to carry camping or hiking.

Nothing in the Amazon listing warned me of this. The box and front of the owner manual say "For use with Dremel 400 Series XPR." Page 5 of the manual says "For use with Dremel 400 Series XPR Rotary tool only." Reviewer "Osama I. J. Deir" says it works with his Dremel 395 series tool, and I was able to attach and run it with mine. But 2 gray plastic tabs at the saw's connection point prevent it from seating well. Ironically, you could use your Dremel to grind off the tabs and get a better connection to your non-XPR Dremel tool. But I am returning my MultiSaw because Dremel is telling me in multiple ways that it's not a good idea. Maybe it's overload issue...who knows? Nice that Amazon returns are super easy.

I plugged it all in and thought it was going to work because I heard the door ding on the dead car, but when I checked it 15 minutes later, nothing. Not even the charger seemed to be working. Then I figured out that it had blown my cigarette lighter fuse in the dead car. I also found out later that my battery was completely dead so I don't know if that had anything to do with it blowing a fuse. I'm sure I'll try it again someday. So, not fair to rate it either good or bad. All I know is it did not work for me in this situation.

I have had this gun for about 2 weeks. It is very easy to use, feels good in my hand, does an excellent job. The only suggested improvement would be to move the reversing switch to a different location. I keep hitting it with my thumb, reversing direction. Not a showstopper however, just a nusiance for me.

Very disappointed in this - sadly, I probably paid about what it's worth. The rachet broke after two uses. The driver broke after using it once with a wrench. Sometimes you just can't go with the no-names - especially when you are buying tools.

They are as well made, clean & finished as one would expect from the brand name. I bought them because of the price - I must admit -- but the weight & quality has more than surprised me. My only real big job with them was driving about sixty ¾ inch lags - all 6 & 8 inches along with nuts on some heavy carriage bolts. The two bits I used look like they were never used. I was so impressed that I went out and bought the standard set. You can spend 2, 3 or 10 times the $ if you want. May be these wouldn't hold up in a "full time" mechanic's tool box, but they're as good as 99 out of 100 average Joes would ever need.

If you own the Porter Cable 7424 Polisher the addition of the PC 18001 6-inch 6-hole hook and loop standard pad allows you to have the equivalent PC 7336 Sander - giving you in effect two separate machines. It should also be noted that the Porter-Cable 73333 Dust Collection System works with the 7424 Polisher if the 18001 standard pad in attached for sanding.
