Good quality sound, will run on battery power when unplugged, charges Dewalt cordless tool battery pack when plugged. Didn't come with a battery. It's a must have at the jobsite if you use Dewalt cordless tools.

I had one of these before but couldn't find it so I bought another. It really comes in handy when your doing crown molding. It saves you from going up and down the ladder a hundred times making trial cuts or wasting a piece of material because the walls aren't built at the angles they're supposed to be. It helps you look like you know what you're doing.

This came as part of a set of multiple items from Swiss-Tech. I tested the glass breaker, multiple times from various locations, and it didn't so much as scratch the glass. The siren can be loud, but it's also very easily stifled in the manner you are holding it. Haven't tested the seatbelt cutter, but I'm guessing my knives are just as well suited. It's way to bulky to be on my key chain.

Unit is great for small/Home use but, like others it arrived broken. For me it was the tank pressure gauge caused by poor packing from Makita. Called Makita like another user and Makita was quick to tell me they do not provide replacement parts and I should return it to Amazon. Since this unit seems to have packaging problems(unit is free to move around in box only the top of the unit is braced) and I do not care to enter into the shipping business between Amazon and myself (until an undamaged unit arrives)I ordered the part online.

I purchased this mower at the beginning of summer, 2008, after reading a lot of reviews all around. On the whole, my experience has been very positive. This mower is easy to push---it's just as easy as any other push mower I've ever used. It's low maintenance. You don't have to mess with gas and oil. It isn't noisy, it isn't generating a ton of noxious emissions, it isn't throwing up dust (for those of us who suffer from allergies, this is a big deal). Set up was a snap. Using it is simple. The only drawback is that this mower doesn't handle tall weeds (>6") very well at all. I had to go through with a weedwacker to get those. Also, it's tough to get right up next to a curb. Other than that, I have no complaints (even though I have gotten many strange looks and questions about it).

Recently removed a 275 gal. fuel oil tank from basement, involved sawing off 2 and 3 inch pipes. NO-Name blade died very soon, Milwaukee blade not much better, DeWalt blade made the cuts like NOW!, and still going strong, re-cut the pipe stubs, same blade. Price wise, one can probably find individual blades for a specific purpose locally. But this 6 pc item is not a bad deal.

I used a framing square for years before I bought a speed square. What an idiot! In the hands of anyone except a genuine expert (when was the last time you saw someone use the 100ths table or work out complex compound cuts on a framer?), the speed square will do as much and do it faster. It's actually superior for 90 degree cross-cuts and, for general framing use, just as good for angle cuts. It will also keep its accuracy forever, unlike a framing square. The aluminum models are the only ones to buy - I can't imagine why ANYONE would buy a plastic speed square for the piddly difference in price. I have a 7" and a 12" and use them both all the time.

I purchased a Blue S4 for my mom for Mother's Day. She LOVES that thing, and uses it at least 10 times a day, no exaggeration. My grandmother loves it, too, so I had to buy this one for her. By far the spring loaded scissors are the most important part of this tool for these two ladies. The second most important is the keyring. And then the screwdrivers, and believe it or not, the ruler. It's tough enough to stand up to living on my mother's keychain (which is no small feat). And it's small enough to not weigh down her pants. I'm considering purchasing one in Pink with Pliers for msyelf.

I bought this because of its compact size to carry in my motorcycle. I found that the pressure guage is difficult to position for a good seal on the tire valve, regardless of whether it is used on a car, truck or motorcycle tire. It is especially difficult on a motorcycle if you have large hands and have to cope with getting around the disk brake rotor. It came with no instructions so the use was trial and error. Once the seal is made with the valve, it takes a few seconds for the digital display to give a reading so you need to hold it on the valve long enough for it to register a reading. Then it can be removed and read. I have compared it with another "High End" pressure guage and the readings seem to match.
