Considering the Jawhorse is a real quality product, I shouldn't be surprised that this accessory product also gets an A+. Although it was a bit late when the FedEx man dropped off the package today, I was eager to try it, hoping to test it out before dark. I shouldn't have worried. The Log Jaw was extremely easy to attach to the Jawhorse with no tools. It can just as easily be removed when not in use. The two pieces bolt on with good-sized knobs for hand tightening the bolts. The Log Jaw allows the vice to grasp taller items, such as logs. I used it to hold a log, which I dispatched into pieces for the fireplace with no problem and tested the foldout grippers meant to hold the chainsaw blade securely so you can sharpen the chain. While I am not a woodworking expert, I have enjoyed getting to know this tool. It seems very well made for the price point. As has been mentioned, it is lacking some of the finer features of high end units, but has been an excellent entry level router. I have used this as both hand held and bench mounted and it seems to have all the power I need. The switch location has been mentioned as a problem, so I have been VERY careful about how I hold the router when switching ON and OFF. Obviously this is not an issue when table mounted. I would highly recommend this router.

I've sharpened a variety of chisels on the worksharp with no hassles and good results. Flat blades go in the guide with a solid abrasive disk, while curved blades are done using the "see-through" slotted disk. Either way is straight forward and surprisingly quick. Compared to the old bench grinder or flat stone techniques this is a walk in the park. Unless you work directly under strong overhead light, I found that a bright head-lamp makes it easier to see when using the slotted disk to sharpen curved chisels. The initial sharpness is good enough for most wood turning projects, but to get a hair-shaving edge you have to follow up with regular honing methods.

You have to ensure you have the right size. So far, it does NOT fit around anything I have. I purchased it to help me get the washer thing off the kitchen sink neck thingy...but it is too small.

I wanted to learn engraving so I bought this little inexpensive tool. The first thing I ever did turned out really well. I engraved a hummingbird and a flower on a glass. Since then I have engraved names on stainless covered books and frames. A little loud but works well for me.

I think everyone should own a ultralok set,! This set is pretty convenient for small jobs, because you don't have to carry around a huge case to every job. It fits allot of bits from My 200 bit set, so if you need to take additional pieces from your bigger set, or swap any pieces in the Makita set with other bits, it comes very handy, both for your drill, and for you,. Buy it and see for your self!
