I selected this brand and model in part because of favorable reviews in several woodworking magazine product comparisons. I was not disappointed in my choice - I have been using the router almost daily for about a month and love it. Some features I particularly like are the ease of removal of the base - unlatch, twist and it's off. Arbor lock makes bit removal a one-wrench operation. There is good visibility of the bit for following layout lines, especially if you use a transparent base plate. The small horsepower and soft start make it easy to control for fine work but it has sufficient power to cut cleanly if you don't force deep cuts. This saw works as advertised. Easy to assemble and use and not hard to handle. I use the provided small bottle to manually oil the chain after each usage. The batteries are interchangeable with other B&D 18v products. The only limitation is the usage from the single battery before requiring a charge. I have two additional batteries, so this is not a problem for me , but could be for others.

This knife I bought for my husband. We both use it when camping or hiking. The lockblade makes it much safer to cut things with. It is too big to carry in my purse all the time. It adds too much weight to my purse. I bought a pouch and my husband wears it. I believe Victorinox makes the best knives there are, at least for us.

I ordered this unit only to have it arrive with a huge crack on the housing that forms the handle. Although the nailer likely still functions, I returned it for exchange as even a recondition tool should come intact. Amazon tells me they have no reconditioned units left to exchange it with and offered to refund my money. Given that I can still order one of the reconditioned units as of Dec. 3, it would seem to me that Amazon knows these units come slightly damaged or they need to overhaul their inventory system. Given how many of these units seem to be damaged based on the other reviews, I am thinking I'll but a new Porter Cable combo pack instead.

In my job I do a lot of stuff that requires a person to cut, squeeze, and screw random stuff. Nothing is worse then getting to job site and realizing that you forgot the wire cutters, or screw driver and having to double back to the tool locker to get a pair. This tool has been invaluable in taking care of those little jobs that sneak under the radar but need to be taken care of. All of that and being so easy to carry around make it one of my favorite little gadgets. The only con I have with these are that if they aren't maintained a little bit they get pretty gummed up and lose their spring back and it becomes a pain to get the screwdrivers and the awl out. That's the same with any multitool you'll buy though and can be fixed with a little oil and cleaning every so often.

With the short throw & small size I bought this to get nails that are in spaces too tight to reach with a sawsall. With the battery recommendation to NOT keep it on the charger (you'll ruin it!), and that it will achieve full battery power after several uses, it sounds like this is a NiMH battery, not the usual NiCad or Lit folks are used to for a power tool. NiMH needs "special care" which ARE in the instrucions (yes! they are!) to get it started working well & long term. But they are weird if you aren't used to them. I charged 9 hrs before using. Then cut 2x4s to see how strong the cutting power is (no problem when held solid to wood) & when the battery would get noticeably weaker.
