Got this as a replacement battery for my B&D Firestorm tools which are still working after 10 years. I followed other reviewers' advice and got the Dewalt DW9116 charger for under $13 plus shipping, to replace my B&D chargers, both of which died. Some have been looking for instructions for the DW9116, especially about tune-up mode. When you insert the battery in the DW9116, the red light will blink, indicating the battery is charging. After an hour or so, the light will stay on, indicating the battery is charged. If you leave the battery in the charger, the charger automatically goes into tune-up mode, which can take up to 8 hours. The light will go out when tune-up mode is complete. This is by far the finest jigsaw I have ever used. It has a ton of helpful features such as a small blower to remove sawdust from where you are cutting, a quick-release blade system, a very nice carrying case and many others. Although it is tempting to go cheap on a jigsaw--some are available for as little as $40--you won't regret this purchase. I've been using this to cut 3/4" pre-finished oak flooring and it goes through it like a hot knife through butter.

These batteries are the fastest charging cordless tool batteries I've ever used and they will put in a full day's work and then some before you have to recharge them. The 3.0 Amp Hour batteries take about 35-40 minutes to charge (there are 1.8Ah batteries for the drills that take less than 20 minutes!) if completely depleted and they're ready to take up again right where they left off! As some other reviews have mentioned, the only down side to them is there's very little warning when they do run out of juice, but seen from another point of view, they do keep running strong up to the last minute.
