This product, even after you remove the flow restricters, does not perform as strongly as the old one. I am now looking for the original version. I would not recommend this product if you are looking for strong pulse action.

This is a great product! Our dryer had been taking forever to dry the clothes. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with the dryer. Finally I looked on the Internet and found this product and decided to give it a try. This really does a great job of improving the taste of tap water. And it is saving me a mint on bottled water, not to mention saving the planet from a bunch more plastic bottles.

The first 3 or 4 weeks were great the product worked great, saving me a ton of money on bottled water and space in the fridge from the gallon model. I found the model tasted alot less charcoal like than the gallon model. But unfortunately after 3 or 4 weeks the light turned yellow which is fine because we drink alot of water and I didn't expect it to last long but the water that would come out would smell like rotten eggs, now I know Florida water is not the best but my tap water smells fine. I shouldn't have to run my water for 5 minutes before pouring a glass. Also the model is a bit bulky making it harder to do dishes. I have two Brita pitchers this one and older model that does not have filter indicator, is square shaped and has one piece lid as opposed to two. Both fit into the fridge nicely and filter tap water adequately to my taste. The only reason I like the old pitcher better is that the flap never gets stuck when you try to pour water out. With this pitcher it occasionally gets stuck and water spills all over the place. At first I though it was a matter of not cleaning the spout properly but it happens even after the pitcher has just been washed. The filter change indicator is nice little feature that reminds me to change the filters on both pitchers. In case you are considering one of those in-fridge models I'd advice against it. Okay, so this showerhead looks a bit like the alien ship from "The Day the Earth Stood Still". But don't let that intimidate you. This thing really works! I only got a trickle of water from my old showerhead. In fact, it was so bad that when my sister would visit, she would rather go stinky the next day rather than subject herself to the torture that was my shower. And she would never even consider trying to wash her hair. There's no way she would have gotten all the soap out. But my gosh! This new showerhead works so well, I even look forward to getting up in the cold, early morning, just so I can take a shower! I can't even leave the setting on high because it's so powerful it hurts. If you've got low water pressure, this is definitely the product for you. I can't recommend it enough!

Bought this shower head combo after buying two other more expensive equivalents from Delta and Peerless. This one feels a little cheaper and is made of primarily plastic parts. Although the other two purchases appeared to be higher quality with heavier metal-like parts (which are probably plastic), they leaked and I quickly returned them. This Waterpik is not bad for the money and the lifetime guarentee is promising.

As with almost all water filtration filters and systems, these items are still far too high priced for justification as to recovery of research and development costs. But as long as the American public continues to purchase soil by the bag, air purifiers for every room and water in handy, chilled bottles, the costs of these items will remain high. Generic manufacturers would do well to offer these items for the sake of all people. Until that time, we, as Americans, have only ourselves and our fears to blame for the costs and expenditures we allow and encourage.
