This is an extremely cheap pitcher. The lid is thin and flimsy, but it works. My water tastes much better and I like how quick it filters the water. I did not need something super high tech or fancy and this fits the bill perfectly.

I've owned this for more than a year, and it has been totally trouble free. The install was pretty straight forward, and the water quality is excellent. The only thing I would suggest is replacing the first charcoal filter inline every three months, and the pair of charcoal filters every six. At a year the reverse osmosis filter is starting to clog, so it will be replaced next month. Overall I highly recommend this system.

After my builder's grade sump pump died after six years of use, I decided to upgrade to a better unit. Worked good for the first two years, but now will not engage by itself. I can tap the float to make it work, but it will not work on its own when the water level requires it to turn on. After collecting model/serial number & purchase info, I contacted Wayne. As covered in other reviews, the lifetime warranty covers very little of the unit. In fact, the company's customer support folks expect for the switch to be replaced every two years at over $30 a pop. The switch includes the cover assembly, and you must drain and refill the oil before replacing the switch and top. I thought this was the best thing since perforated toilet paper, like many other reviewers, but after a few weeks of use the seat starts to get very loose and the cheap thin plastic "hinge holder" eventually breaks. I called their customer service who promptly sent a new seat(without even verifying any info, which tells me this is a very common problem) When it arrived the snap cover for the "hinge holder" was already broken in the box!! I haven't had time to deal with it since and have been wobbling around every time I use it, I'm going now to buy something I can BOLT DOWN.

I really like the slow close feature and the price is not outrageous. This one is wood so it is nice and solid unlike the flimsy plastic ones... I was worried that being wood it would be too heavy to work... but the slow close works fine (maybe even a little on the slow side)... Only con is that it doesn't look as contemporary or streamlined as the others... but hey its a toilet seat cover...
