I had no idea that they even made such a device until I helped my parents install their door on a detached garage and realized that without a walk-through door, there was a potential problem. Amazon's price was low and the Amazon Prime free shipping made the choice for me. I installed it in half an hour at below freezing temps. It took me longer to find a drill and bits than it did to actually install the item. It works just fine.

I wanted a little remote to attach to my backpack while commuting to/from work on my bicycle. This little thing is much smaller than the standard openers that came with my home several years ago. The key-ring design made it ideal to connect to a D-ring, so it is out and handy when I need it. It also comes with a light (the smaller of the two buttons), which is probalby useful to some people but not for what I use it for. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because it uses a non-standard battery which is more difficult to replace, but that isn't a huge issue since it hasn't been 'battery hungry' (though it probably would be if you used the light frequently).
