This passage lever is easy to install and of high quality. I used it with the keypad Camelot deadbolt. They work well together.

Does not fit 1 7/8 dia holes so check you door holes first. After modfiying dead bolt base,had to grind off 2 tabs with masterlocks guidance. Nice looks, works well dead bolt lock out a great feature,good price

At the stores I noticed lots of scratches and dings on the finishes and selected 3 that I thought did not have scratches. After removing the 3 that I purchased from the box, they all had scratches too. I called Kwikset and they said they should not be scratched and to return them to the store. I asked them to look into their manufacturing quality, but the customer service person did not seem interested and told me the store should investigate. I have looked at 50 boxes of new kwikset and all are of poor quality finish. It is really too bad their quality is so poor, I like the rekey idea and really want to own these locks. I'm told that lock bumping to break and enter has been done for 50 years or so, however, I was unaware of it until seeing a youtube video from a locksmith. He showed a reporter what to do and in two seconds he had opened a "good" deadbolt lock. I looked on ebay and confirmed that the keys were available for $2 and concluded that my 5 exterior doors were effectively unlocked. I replaced the deadbolts on all my exterior doors with these. While I did not test the anti bumping feature, Kwikset claims the "sidebar technology" protects them from "bumping". I can say these locks are very sturdy, and easy to install, and I love the feature that allows me to rekey all the locks to the same key, without using a locksmith.

We already have these locks installed in our house by our builder and I needed another for an outdoor shed door that I built myself. This is a very well-built lock set. My door was prehung with lock holes already drilled with the excetption of the door jam hole needing to be deeper and cleaned out for the reinforcing piece. It took maybe 15 minutes to clean that out and the lock works great. You do need a good drill and new sharp bit that can drive the long screws into the door jam and stud in the wall. Another nifty feature is that this is a rekeyable lock and in a minute I can make it work with the key for our house. But for now, we leave it keyed differently because we have a gardener who needs to be in the shed and I don't want them having the key to the whole house.
