After purchasing my first house, I replaced the two deadbolts in the house with double cylinder Kwikset deadbolts. Both deadbolts were keyed the same from the factory. Installation of the locks was simple (I did not even refer to the directions until after I was finished). Installation was only about 10 minutes (including removing the old lock). The deadbolts did their job. All keys worked great in both locks, just as they are supposed to. However, after about 1 year, I was having difficulties with the keys getting stuck in the locks. The locks would get hard to turn and the keys difficult to remove. I had to pull the key out with a pair of channel locks only one or two uses after noticing the lock was sticking slightly. I bought this lock to replace an existing lock. I had never replaced a lock, but the directions were easy to understand. It took me less than 10 minutes to remove the old one and install this one. It looks good, feels solid, and works just fine. Though I did not have to use this feature, it is possible to adjust the setback from 2 3/8" to 2 3/4". If you are looking for an affordable, easy-to-install lock, this one would fit the bill. Based upon this experience, I would not hesitate to buy another Master Lock in the future.
