My home compressor is a Makita Mac2400 which blows this thing out of the water. However, I have to use the bostitch at work. Earplugs are my new best friend. This thing and the portercable pancake are too loud IMO. I have to admit, we run this thing pretty hard bangin in floors all day and it keeps up. It seems to be hard working. Regardless, I can't wait till it breaks.

Item came quickly and was exactly what was needed to fix Bostitch gun which, by the way, are notorious for low quality plastic trigger valves.

The product was fine however they were not packed well and all of the boxes broke open.

These were not coated as stated in the description. They were galvanized, but did not have the yellow adhesive coating as did my first order on 9-15-2006. I had to return them.

These were not coated as stated in the description. They were galvanized, but did not have the yellow adhesive coating as did my first order on 9-15-2006. I had to return them.

I bought this nailer becuase I was doing a radiant flooring project where I had to pound in 10,000 nails. The nailer worked flawlessly and was a pleasure to use. I did buy Bostitch brand nails after reading the negative reviews about the Chinese imports. I found a great place to buy my nails: www.speedynails.com Their prices including shipping was far lower than at my local building supply house who had to order my 3" ring nails anyway. This gun is much shorter than the kind that uses the sticks of nails so it is better balanced. The huge supply of nails is also a great benefit.

This part works well for what its for. It is basically a replacement end for the RN46 that has about 3/16 shaved from the bottom of the tip. This allows you to set the tip of the gun on the locking flange and shoot. The tip also has a protrusion that fits in the slot but we grinded that off because the slots are wide enough to know when you are in them. It is a good addition but the price seems a little high.
