I ordered these to replace the filter in our refrigerator. They came when they were supposed to, had instructions just like they were supposed to, and fit just like they were supposed to. I guess they filter the water, since I don't see any stuff in the water when I get it out of the fridge dispenser.

When I installed the new filter I didn't realize that we would go through a period where the water tasted "funny", at least that's how my wife described it. It took about a week for the taste of the water to return to normal. That was the only thing that I didn't realize when I replaced the filter. Besides that it worked fine.

I've used one of these for three years now with excellent results for hiking boots, Nordic ski boots, athletic shoes and rubber/leather pacs. Although the heat level is very modest - and therefore protects your footwear and keeps the electric bill low - it will thoroughly dry all but the very soggiest boots in a few hours. Also, it seems to eliminate any foul odors (who me?) in athletic or street shoes. Here's a hot tip: put your already-dry winter boots on this Peet dryer before venturing out on a frigid morning and your feet will be truly toasty! I like this product very much: it performs as advertised, is easy to assemble and appears to be well made. My only issue is with the hanging "system." Using a regular hanger makes steaming shirts and trousers difficult. In retrospect, I would have preferred an arrangement similar to Conair's. Nevertheless, still a good product overall.

I've been using this system for our 4 person family for over 4 years. While the filters are pricey, Amazon sells them for about the best price around. The filter comes with a one year battery powered alarm, however this may not be the best indicator since the longevity of the filter depends on the rate you use your water not the number of months that pass. It would be nice if Everpure had a gallon meter on the dispenser - THAT would be accurate! Overall excellent product.

I cant really review a filter - it does its job and it does it well. WE use it in our Kenmore unit and thus I have nothing to complain about. My only gripe with this and with every other filter....whats with the prices? I cant imagine these cost so much to manufacture. All that aside.....these are 10/10 in my book. They are more expensive at k-mart or sears and Amazons shipping/cost savings/no tax saves a few bucks....
